Hi All. This is Riz from Toronto, Canada. I'm seeing a lot of Filipinos post comments here, I guess the phone is very popular there in the Phil. This, then, wouldn't come much of a suprise, I'm a filipino and I'm getting this phone to. I'm so excited, I'm tracking the shipment every few hours! I think i'm getting it tomorrow - i'm really crossing my fingers on this.
It looks like a very lovely phone.
I hope people here would post...
1. How to upgrade the firmware (just in case mine would do some crazy unwelcome stuff)
2. How to get some apps.
3. Any other info that would add more fun to our LG KP500
I'm so excited. I hope mine doesn't give me the reboots and all that I see in the comments.

They're actually an authorized LG Dealer. And they brought my phone to LG Service Center. And its been 9 days now and i still dun have my phone with me. =[

I think it would be better if you brought it to an authorized LG service center rather than where you bought it 'coz some if not most of the retailers, don't even know how to troubleshoot their items.

Hey guys. I got huuuuge problems with my Cookie. Dunno how to explain it but anyway, here it goes.
*drum rolls* LOL.
just bought a 1GB mmc for the phone and when i used it, the phone just effin froze. like it will only go to the LG logo then BOOM! it's stuck there like hell.
tried to remove and replace the mmc and THE SIM CARD [like what most of u guys did] but still nothing happened. i returned it to where i bought it but its been almost two weeks and they still have my phone.
and they;re givin me the fffffff!
pffft. i miss my cookie. hope it'll be fixed soon. xD

Cookie auto detects operator sim and settings already installed. You should verify / request for GPRS/MMS activation from your network provider.

beatkill23, 15 Jan 2009Same here. 4 days now with no reset/reboot issues after upg... moreme too. I need 3.5mm jack adapter so I can use it with my skullcandy headphones (which I am using for quite some time now with my k850i).
I also need capdase for it for additional protection and the formal look it gives to the phone. (right now i'm using pouch. it looks very chic. ~_~)

I've only seen a lot of nokia/iphone accessories on phil local stores.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970ah ok, my provider is smart, i have my settings before in my sony phone, then transfered my sim to my cookie but i cannot connect to internet nor send mms. But then i called smart and requested them to send me settings for my phone. Settings recieved minutes after then in became ok, i still have my settings now, if we have same provider, im willing to share my settings, youl have to input it manually.
