oops, sorry, i mispelled your name, really sorry very, very, sory. No undue respect.
Just a follow up, the specs say that the lg phone is designed for 386 or so kbps so why am I registerring 460 kbps internet connection? Does this mean that an ordinary 3g phone can actually escalate and even reach HSDPA(a.k.a. 3.5G) Connection speeds?(1.2-3mbps)?! Thanks

but won't that cost me? (not the internet connetion but the actual download?) That's why I wanna learn how to manually install jad and jar files unto my phone. can I put them in the My Images or My sounds or My videos folder and run the jar/jad files from there? Since you said that I only need to run the jar files, do I still neec the jad files? (I read that jad files are just short cuts). Thanks alot LG_geek

unfortunately, from what i know, you cant use the ku250 as a mass storage unless you have a micro sd so the process of installing java apps and games isn't possible. On the other hand, if you really want to install java apps and games, just follow these links:
http://www.operamini.com/beta/
operamini beta is the best!
http://www.getjar.com/software/Java/LG_176x220
now here's the tip, go to the getjar link then browse for apps or games that you like, click on the thumbnail to see the details, then look for and write down the Quick Download Code in each of your preferred app.
After that, using your ku250, go to this link: wap.getjar.com then follow the instructions.

sorry, I missed your great explanation on how to install jad and jar.
So I guess my follow up question is...can I install to my main memory? I don't have a microsd yet.
Does this installation process work for other applications? I plan to install operamini as my main web browser. They say it'll improve the web experience on the phone. Thanks

I had similar problems when using my lg phone as a modem but this is what finally worked.
When the LG pc suite asks you to make a probfile, use the following
APN:internet
PhoneCode:*99#
I get 460 kbps connection speeds.
Futhermore, lock your phone to use only 3g. It automotically scans for the strongest signal (2G/3G/GPRS). Even with a strong signal, GPRS can only reach speeds of about 60 or so kbps (in short it sucks). 3g gives me over 400kbps. In short weak signaled 3g is still a hell of a lot better than strong signalled GPRS.
Question:
1) ON installing JAR files...
So I just copy jar files directly into the others folder? But when I launch the LG suite, it only shows the following folders...
My images, My videos and My sounds. How do I access the other parts of my phone to install the Jar files.
2) Plust How do I use Jad files?
3) Is there a way to hardreset my LG PHone, like Hard resetting a pocket pc? too make everything a clean slate on my memory?
4) Can I install java games unto a storage card (microsd)?
5) do Jar and Java files leave foot prints in my phone's memory(why I want to install everything in a microsd). Thanks

i'm only using 51% of the handset common memory. with that usage of the memory, could it be the cause of the unit to shutdown by itself???
hope someone could answer this.
tnx...

Don't maxed out the phone memory. If I'm not mistaken it is the cause of shutdown.

This phone is great for the price! It's perfect 3g for all. Just one question. I always seem to get to versions of programs for this phone...JAD and JAR. How do I use these to run programs? do I run it on windows to install unto the phone or put it directly into my phone and run them as executables. The lg ku250 uses MIDP 2.0 Java, Is that the save as J2ME? will all programs for J2ME work for MIDP2.0?
