thanks for the ebay warning man.
this phone in a way is a iphone killer. WHO WANTS A PIECE OF CRAP THAT LOOKS LIKE A TOY AND HAS THE MOST BASIC INTERFACE AND APPS where u can get a 5 megapixel camera and al whole lot of crazy enjoyable apps.. The Iphone was made is much of a hurry and was just the start of touch phones but LG has taken it and made it fun for the users with the first phones to have the flash UI interface !!!!!

a word of advice:
don't buy it now on ebay... you will have the prototype.
the real phone will be released around october 15th. (which means there are only prototype on the market so far... if you talk to some people working to create phones they will tell you that the software on any smartphones are finalised until the very end)
so the guy who try to sell it to you on ebay is eather way a liar or the son of LG's boss. laughing.

well, we dont have the iphone yet, it will be released in november or december (that's a shame for apple, a lot of other nice phones will be released before or at the same time of the iphone)
as far as comparing the iphone and the viewty:
the touch screen? well, a lot of phone are already using this technologie (most of the smartphones do it, but yes, with a pen, i give you that) for exemple the prada(from LG) or the touch (from HTC). Samsung should also come on this way with the F700.
What is really impressive on the iphone is its multi-touch (and that, no other phones can compete with that).
The technologie? well, if we are honest, both of the viewty or the iphone are not real "smartphone" since they are not "evolutive".
anyway, the fact that people compare those phones doesn't really bother me, it's more the terme "iphone killer". the prada was released before the iphone. should we call the iphone a "prada killer"? (i know that the iphone kick the ass of the prada phone, that's not the point).
that's just my thought. ;)

I will have this phone soon on ebeay for all those craving it in the US.
Other thing. i saw this phone has a easy direct upload to the YOutube with the HSDPA . How does that work ? is it like a wifi connect? becuz in the U.S we get charge for data transfer per byte or somthing. PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND

well, for the message below, you have to understand that expectation about phone in europe are a waaaaaaaaaaay different than in usa. me i was really disapointed about what i could find in usa when i was there.
when apple said that they will do a phone with touch screen, i was sure to get one, and when i saw it? i just decided it wasn't for me.
i'm not saying that iphone is bad or anything , i'm just saying it wasn't for me (bad camera with no flash and no settings, have to synchronise it with your computer (like an ipod, so how do you pass your movies and songs to your friends computers?) and in europe i don't really care about wifi since it's not like you guys: in europe it's really rare to find wifi-spot and plus you have to pay to use it, that's why LG (who wants to sell in europe more than in usa) decided to use EDGE and HSDPA (3.6 Mbps) instead of wifi.
however, the iphone is just awesome by his software and the quality of his touch-screen. but me, i will go for the viewty instead. why? because I CARE about his 5mpx camera (as you say, most people have a digital camera, yes, but i'm not carying it all the time! are you?) i care about the fact that i will be able to plug it on any computer and don't have any synchro problems.
it's not an iphone killer, the iphone is a music phone, the viewty a camera phone. how people can compare them?

no WiFi and No GPS...its probably gonna be same price as the IPHONE. how are they planning to compete?
only thing better is the camera 5mp but who cares. Most ppl got the digital camera.

Iv done some searching and found it releasing on the 20th of october in europe ONLY which i wish i can get some one to get me it for the US from there and the price will range between $500- 700!!! id wait it for a month like the n95 the price will drop

it would be cool if this had VGA display wifi and 8GB of internal plus 2 microSD slot and both go up to 32GB which is a total of 72GB of memory..... Sorry I must be dreaming. Im awake now XP

If
I read that the viewty going to be free in europe with a plan for about 45-50 euros. Hopefully the unlocked version is less than 500 U.S. dollars

does this phone have youtube and google applications like maps? it says it does on other sites but gsmarena did not mention it except for the absence of youtube in their review.
