I didn't... morewhen you said resistive, did you mean the type of touchscreen sensor it has? because there are several types of sensor for touchscreen including resistive and capacitive. if this is what you are referring to, then yes, it is a resistive touchscreen. most gadgets nowadays with touchscreen has the resistive type, even the multi-touch.

for those who're having trouble with noise in pics, did you use the setting? i just learned that it has ISO setting.. i wanted to know if the pics still looks badly noisy even after you use the right setting at the right scene...

marie, 26 Jun 2009can anyone help me lol i am getting extreamly annoyed with ... moreto delelte a word in the SMS screen is a piece of cake. there's Clear command.it deleltes letter by letter. then you select the entire word with your even with finger then again Clear button on the touch screen. or try the middle hard button on the phone. all are working if your phone is not broken.

I've had my Viewty for a while. That's the only thing I can't complain about. The screen is quite resistant. Mine has been dropped, stepped on, my keys were just beside it in my bag, under a pile of books... It had a tough life. The screen still looks as good as new.
If you want to use it just as a phone, yes I recommend it. If you want to use it as a smartphone (synchronise it with your laptop or pc)or you want to set reminders on it then chose another one.
I was really dissapointed with some features of the phone and to find the solutions online extremely not user friendly.

You can delete words by either using the c button letter by letter, you can also highlight the word and cancel it.

... moreI've had this phone for 18 months, and it's a mixed bag. I bought it mainly for the camera, and I'm really disappointed by the quality. So disappointed that I won't buy another LG - I feel ripped off.
Yes, I've used other camera phones, so I don't expect much. But I was still disappointed.
The problem is the very low light sensitivity, which means blurry photos in anything less than perfect light conditions. The flash is surprisingly weak too. I have it permanently set to 3 MP - no point in capturing the full 5 MP, when they don't add anything to the detail.
They should've just put a 3 MP sensor in to start with. At least the light sensitivity would've been better.
The video capture, on the other hand, is great! I have a bunch of other niggles, but they're matched by the plus sides to the phone. Really, it would be a great phone if they hadn't marketed it as having a camera that's above your typical cameraphone.

but the important part is not calling, it's indeed use sms sender, i.e. save it. of course since i can just call it. i can save from call list.
i cannot find edit before call though, it;s important for making IDD call for me.
i've read the book, but no clue..

i just got myself a KU990R, R stands for the version with the lens-cover. since my K800 have its LCD failing recently.
i can say this is actually a "late-but-proper" upgrade. camera is significantly better. no doubt about the video performance to a SE.
i can say : Viewty is a multimedia phone. not a business phone. the thing i find it annoying is simply the "business" features. no edit-before-call like SE, no direct call to SMS sender etc. may be inconvenient, for ppl who often make calls and sms.
viewty also has another drawback, which is starting to get slow once it fills up. im only using 2gb. i cant imagine people with 8GB viewty. it will works, as long as u format and fill it up, until 6.2gb.
(means viewty only detect max 1.8gb free space)
but, for those who are interested with this phone, i can tell this is a good camera phone, yet with nice design. although i bought it relatively late (1.5 years late) it;s still amazing to find many people on the net actually own this phone. (i.e. youtube)
i will personally give a rating of 8/10.
+ good design. user friendly. keypad/board to sms
- no basic communication option (edit before call, call sms sender straight)
- no equalizer in media player
that is my highlight, for 2007 based viewty vs a 2006 based K800. ignoring the camera capability of course.

it's a nice phone but i was hoping LG would put a TV out for this and they should have put a higher mmc capacity. The phone lags too while your accessing the file manager... I'll probably replace this one with a different phone...
