Please read my story of LG Viewty usage with LG Technical Support answers:
Me: How and where I can obtain warranty repair in Israel for my phone that bought in Ukraine? There is a problem with a speaker that I got after two days of phone usage. There is no any output from speaker.
TS: Dear Customer, Kindly contact LG mobile service center in Israel. Miniline Communication, Tel ...
Me: According your recommendation I contacted Miniline Communication. They told me following:
"We are providing warranty service for legal entities only and not for a private person. We are not accepting warranty issues for the devices that bought outside Israel. There is no any international warranty for LG devices."
Please advice me what should I do in this case because it is really difficult to use the device without speaker.
TS: Dear Customer, Israel does not provide international warranty for mobile phones. But you can check with the service agent to get the phone repaired under payable basis. Regards.
Me: I'm really disappointed from this kind of service. I thought that such company as LG has a full covering of international warranty and would support the customer with new products all over the world.
I'm going to bring my phone back to the shop and take a phone from another company. Why should I pay for repair of a brand-new phone?
Here we are... You are free to decide: To buy or not to buy....

erm..LG Viewty hav dictionary function? izit need to install to phone?? after install to phone..the phone will be lag anot??

i think this phone is a good handset but slightly out dates now .... a very similiar handset is samsung pixon.... but its better it has 8 mega pixel camera , sensitivity on the phone is slightly more efffective, as it reacts better to touching on the screen. screen also locks at side of hone like lg but on oppisite side. i have samsung pixon for sale...price is more expensive than lg ku990 pricing between £329 to £379 so any one that wants to make an offer please do... i have opeed handset once and turned it to see what it was like. happy with my current handset so... any offers please do you will be surprised on how much i will sell it for .....

tha main reason y tha battery life is so low is because it has a wide screen...this tends to give out a lot of light and thus energy,draining the power from tha battery...so u kan minimize this by reducing the brightness or contrast and am shua ur battery life wil be a bit longer...yah digg??

i love this phone! however there is two things that i would have loved to get out of it and they are:
1. be able to save a contact to both my phone and simcard at the same time instead of having to copy it back to my handset
2. be able to put a security pin so people cannot use my phone i.e. go into the menu and stuff...
if any of that is possible let me know

Batery life is a bit rubbish about 3-4 days .
But overall its a good phone.

I truly love this phone!! The trick with the battery is to drain it fully when u first get it, then let it charge overnight or at least for 16hours if thats possible. Let it drain again and then when it needs charging do it overnight each charge! Ive had mine for 6months now and get at least 3-4 days of average use from the battery. Great Phone!

Just become owner today of this phone getting to grips with it hate the zoom wheel to scroll down the menus and adjust volume.
Speaker is tinny/distorted when playing music/ringtones. No icon on screen or flashing light to tell you phone is charging or charged unless you press a button. In standby screen is black you have to press lock button just to get the time.
Camera seems to be excellent quality even without flash - cant seem to edit the 'Silent' Profile IE I want phone ringtone and button presses in Silent to be silent but I want SMS message notification to vibrate every minute.
Cannot find a way to put Time and date up on my standby screen/wallpaper all there is is phone Operator showing and the shortcut buttons flashing.
Any way to change the qwerty on sms to normal standard phone keypad?
Any easier way of silencing phone like bringing up keypad and long press on hash like all over phones?
There doesn't seem to be any notification of a missed call (Beep) or message on the screen unless you press unlock button and 'wake up phone' then you see you have a missed call.

hey all.any one know where i can get opera mini n mobyexplorer for my viewty.tried wap.getjar.com but after i downloaded th opera mini durin th installation phase i got a error msg tell me to check my gprs settings which by th way work fine.when i tried downloadn mobyexplorer i got a error msg tellin me ?certificate authentication failed?.plz help

i bought my viewty in september 08...and i had the same battery problem...one day was holing my battery and my viewty was off...also i had problems with my network company signal..a friend told me that i had to close the 3G connection...so you have to go to the "connectivity" section..then "network settings"..then "network mode" and choose gsm900/1800...
after that my mobile battery hold 4-5 days...
check it...it s a beautiful mobile and i love it...

sorry...i forget to say...this 36h is ONLY standby time with NO USE...but maybe less... one day it will definitely last...it s very poor
