For all of u out there wanted to buy this phone i can tell its good and has a nice camera for that money and a good flash also nice quality but lolipop 5.0.X is making it lag because of memory leak problems!you should buy it when the 5.1.1 comes out because it will fix the problem! Also you cant root it !
-No Otg feature and some roms!

This phone should come with a warning the camera can take some clean pictures but for the most part the quality is garbage theres not many options without having to download shit and half the time your just wasting your time trying to get pictures my older Lg took waaaaaaaaay better pictures.. We should be refunded our purchase if not be abme to use to get an upgrade with better quality that we dont have to eat by paying more money or our storage due to continous downloading

Ive had this phone for 2 months and already the battery dies after 20 minutes after 7 hours of charging. Charger port is already giving out. The light flashes on and off unless you put in a certain knot. The phone itself freezes and backround is slow. And on a memory tip 4 of the phones 8 gigs are phone data. So mine as well say 4 gigs. Not worth it... Zte zmax is wayyy better.

A budget phone that held a lot of promise, but fell down in the areas that I really needed it to stand up.
The phone has some great specs for a budget phone, it can multitask without a problem and doesn't slow down even with several apps running so no problems with the basic architecture and the OS is great too.
What I don't like is even with the mildest autocorrect setting, it wants to change short words that end in "th" to numbers eg: "with" = "28th". Same with "st", "nd", "rd". The phone also really likes fudging acronyms. This phone's autocorrect is a colossal waste of time if you're in any kind of technical industry and use your phone for work. It's also missing about half of the dictionary and it's "English" setting is locked into an American English dictionary.
The screen being crazy thin is apparently a selling point.. Mine broke far easier than it should have, it suffered a fall to the ground of less than a foot and the screen shattered and bits of glass came off. The screen still worked for about 2 months, though yesterday it started not taking inputs. Now if I only get 4 or 5 seconds of input out of it, then I have to lock it again, wait about 10 seconds and unlock it for another 5 seconds, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. If your screen is still intact, I recommend you get a tempered glass screen protector immediately.
The display is actually pretty poor by today's standards too.
The rear camera sucks, badly. I'm a service technician and sometimes I'm overseas and have to relay photos of complex circuitry back to home base, no macro focus means no good photos. The front camera isn't worth mentioning.
No notification LED means it's useless for using to communicate when you're in a noisy factory or when you just want it to be silent.
Lack of bands means in some parts of the world, it's hard to get data going. (Or anything communication for that matter)
The sim card carrier does not lend itself to having sim cards inserted or removed and you have to remove the battery to get to it. The SD card can be removed without removing the battery, but you still have to take off the back cover (not as easy as it should be) to get to it.
I don't mind how the switches are on the back, but being that the switches are contained in the cover itself means that sometimes, the signal doesn't get through the contact points between the phone and the cover. Cleaning the contacts every now and then will alleviate this.
Honestly, A pretty useless phone in this day and age, I would have payed another $50 to have a better protected screen, a better rear camera and a better autocorrect.
Never buying LG again.
A guy once told me that he stopped selling LG products; he said they were "L-G: Lucky to Go". Pretty much on the mark. Even 20 years later. Avoid at all costs.

I was told it had Q slide apps, which it does not. The shortcut buttons used to launch apps dont have any option to change which apps they load. Mediocre phone.
My camera autofocuses fine.

DO NOT BUY THIS LG-LEON
every time i make or recieve a call , the calls drop just about every time . the only way to keep a incomming or outgoing to to stay connected is to press the power button so the scree can go black and not light up .
ALSO THE WIFI AND 4G IS SUPER SLOW

Now I'm really getting to know this phone. It has no auto-focus and has no macro focus. All close up pictures or fine print is blurry. Blowing up the fine print makes it more blurry. Some comments are saying it has no macro focus so it won't bar code scan either. My old MyTouch 4g didn't need a laser to auto focus thus I believe they could have done it right but for some reason it really feels like someone is 'cutting corners' doing a bad job when they could have just as easily installed it correctly. After using every "cam app" you can tell it's more like a hardware issue and not a software one. Are we really trying to save 5 cents per a $100 phone? Are we really trying to get people to buy a more expensive phone?

Please don't buy, I bought this Phone after one week it got repaired.after a3 week service at Colombo service centre I received it but after two days problem again.

The fact that the autocorrect defaults "with" to "38th" is the most flat out dumb thing I've ever seen. And yes, the camera having no control over the focus is also incredibly dumb. But really, the autocorrect thing is driving me nuts.
I like how I can answer texts in a window without backing out of youtube. Can't wait til a phone comes along that lets me hear youtube and do other things simultaneously, but for now I'll deal 38th what I'm given.

They could have just as easily install A real camera that has auto focus and able to take sharp close ups. So then why they intentionally put inferior camera lens or system is hard to explain what the motive is behind closed doors.

I have had the leon for about a month now and when i try to play music out of thr phone or even with headphones it becomes extreamly staticy. This phone hasent been near water so i dont know why it would do that. Plz help

LG had best be working on a patch or app to fix the focusing of the camera! It has the worst close up focus that you can not see and gets more blurry when you blow up the picture. I typically get close ups when I want to show someone detail or the ingredients on a food label or the VIN# on my car when I go the auto parts store, or a receipt's invoice number, or even the price of sale items at the store which has a ending date that now can't be seen. Any print that is small basically is blurry even if you back off and zoom in. There is no way that they did not know this and they know very well in advance that they would be getting called out about it which shows the power they have to not meet customer needs per the "market" that they have under control, not the "market", and people don't get what they want like some kind of dictatorship pretending to care about you. The same problem exists with the other low end phone "Alcatel pop astro", so choosing that phone over this one would not have helped. Speaking of help, no thank you. I guess I'll just have to go back to using a pen and paper from now on til they fix this, I know they are not going to because in this country they are not out to meet the wants and needs of customers for over decade now as if the invisible hand in the market is in control when it's them who control it.

Download Wifi Analyzer; check the channel you are on at home; if there is a better channel then change your router channel. If you don't know how to do that...google your router name and model and change channel to receive instructions. I know this doesn't explain why your other devices seem to go fast, but it is worth a try.

Yah, the camera close ups suck. You can't just take a pic of say ingredients on a label, when you blow it up it's all blurry.

Most of people use their phones for dialing, messages, music, camera, facebook, instagram and twitter. This phone is great for them.
It could have a LED somewhere on it to see that you have a notification even with screen off.
