- Select runtime > use ART.

I've bought my Nexus 5 32Gb version on last Friday here in Sri Lanka.It's amazingly fast..I'm not a heavy user of the mobile.So I've only charged it twice for this week.Last time I charged it on Monday night & today(Thursday night) more than 30% of charge remaining.I didn't play games but used the phone for voice calls more than 1 hour & 30 minutes & sent nearly 30 text messages & used the phone for the internet browsing for some short period after charging it on Monday.I didn't feel any heating issues.Thanks LG & Google for this amazing device!

I've noticed a bit of a heat issue too. I played that new Batman Arkham origin game and my nexus 5 hit nearly 50degrees C. Checked battery health and it said overheat. It's never got that hot before without the charger plugged in.

The best phone I ever used and its real power comes from its simplicity.
The pure Android feature is really amazing and truly sufficient for anyone -unless you have a specific need for another UI feature or just like the eye candy UI from other custome Android phones.
and even this have a solution other than having another phone; CyanogenMod.
Even when you need to reflash your device -I made it just for fun :); Official ROMs are publicly available, easy to apply and works like a sharm (especially if you are running a Linux PC).
Disadvantages (really don't annoy me)
1- Camera Autofocus needs to be impoved (though it was enhanced on latest update).
2- Heats up a little after the latest update.
3- Wish to have a native support for USB OTG rather than having to get 3rd party apps to compensate the lack of expandable memory (N5 has no memory card support)

Anonymous, 28 Jul 2014I just got n5 and it heat up ; is this normal with all smar... moregot it 4 months ago and the heating starting only after the last OTA update I made; think Google will fix this soon or I'll try to downgrade to the original 4.4.2 that originally came with it or install CyanogenMod on it for security fixes.

Used this phone for 5 months. It's the best phone alive since 2013. Wicked specs, new os and as the apple of Googles eye, provides timely updates. After the 4.4.4 update, the beast is now on steroids. I think we might get a rehab for this monster if the android l comes out . Really love this phone to bits :D
