Anonymous, 09 Jun 2014Sony Xperia z never ever ever ever go for nexus 5Lol! Xperia Z can't even handle 4.4.2 - nexus 5 bugs on 4.4.2 were minor compared to bugs on Sony xperia Z. Sony are even telling people not to update their xperia Z to that software. Old phone - weak chip set and dreadful camera - also bad battery.

Can you tell me when your N5 was manufactured. The code is in the serial number. My S/N begins 311K....
The 3 tells me the year (2013), and the 11 tells me the month (Nov), so my phone was built in November 2013.
I'm just wondering if the update is affected by when the phone was manufactured.

Hi gys...am from Algeria ans I didn't recived a notification for system update til I made a soft reset from settings...the first notification after reboot was the system update...try it..it maybe works for u...

jeff, 08 Jun 2014I did disable frame work and reboot ... cleared cache enabl... moredo it 2-3 times . disable > reboot > clear framework cache > reboot > recheck
it works for me I don't know why is is not working for you.
Google is updating by Serial Numbers.

Just reset from boot volume button. May br u receive its notify. Only dialpad color fr blk to white changed, nothing much.
