Using this phone since more than a year.
Great phone, never got disappointed using it.
Yes, ofcourse there are few glitches like battery drains faster than on KitKat but its ok for me.
Performance is just superb.
Always remember, none of the smartphones are complete in every respect.

I owned the nexus 5 for about 9 months and used it as my daily driver. Phone was fantastic. Very snappy, quick and got the job done. My two complaints about this phones was the camera and the speaker were very poor. However, for that price, definitely worth it.

This is undoubtedly the worst purchase I have ever made. I took a risk on a LG phone; it looked so good on paper, and with the Google brand behind it, I thought I couldn't go wrong. I wish I had done my research and found this site beforehand, but I urgently needed a phone to replace my very old and very dead phone. I bought it in Nov last year, and by the second week of Feb, it was dead. The features and functions seem good enough, but having switched from an HTC which is surprisingly good with their user interface, I have to say the LG fell short. Little things would annoy me about it, but I figured it would take getting used to. But the awful battery life is inexcusable. I am not a gamer. I basically use my phone very lightly, messaging, some browsing, less than 5 short calls a day, and sometimes maps. The battery would be on the last bar in less than 6 hours. By Feb, it wouldn't charge anymore. I called LG and they said I would have to bring the phone to some remote location, which I just couldn't spare the time for. So I am back to my old HTC and looking a lot more carefully to buy something else. I am no techie, I just want my phone to work.

Lets hope LG have made the next Nexus better in every way.

If you are entering into a 2 year contract then the guarantee should last 2 years also. I still think it is/was a brilliant smartphone let down by all the complaints on here. I agree battery life could be better and so on but fully agree that the smartphone should last or at least be repaired or replaced free of charge if it fails. The shop selling the phone to you is letting you sign a 2 year contract so they should guarantee it for 2 years.

One thing I've noticed with the charging is that even though I'm still using original charger sometimes the phone is saying charging over USB when it's clearly AC charging. Annoying little bug as it charges very slow when saying charging over USB.

A phone sold solely due the brand built...A very bad experience with LG Nexus 5. I took this phone with lot of desire. But highly disappointed. On completion of my warranty period (i.e 1 year) immediately the phone started giving problems like sim not getting detected, battery issues etc. On visiting the LG service center, i shockingly found that the mother board of the phone has to be changed, and the cost of which would be very shocking "half the price of the phone". that means we are expected to shell out nearly 13k to 15k to repair the damn phone just after a year of buying the so called "NEXUS 5"....!!!!
And this is not only what I, in millions have faced...but all the other fellow mates present in the LG service center along with me faced an issue with this LG NEXUS 5 and that too surprisingly just after completing a year. So i dont believe that this is a co-incidence.....!!
Very disappointed with LG to manufacture such kind of hand set...and play around with consumer sentiments!....

I'm using Nexus 5 for about 4-5 days.It is working nice but only issue is that the battery drains very fast and charges very slowly after updating to Android 5.1.1 Please help me to fix this problem.

One more thing, do whatever you want ti do except breaking its hardware/watering.
Software issues are not at all an issue for nexus 5.
Trust me, I myself solve all software issues whenever i face with the help of available resources on xda or internet, though i am not an engineer.
Just root your phine and unlock bootloader with the help of NEXUS ROOT TOOLKIT and explore the nexus 5.
I am right now on kernel Uber, optipop rom with 2.5ghz(tweaked), GPU 533mhz, CPU undervolt (38), antutu score 48437(maximum achieved).
                              SOT on a 2.2ghz,GPU 533ghz and minimum brightness i get 4hrs 48 minutes.
So I ask other smartphones in this range to beat me.
                              Come on, hurry....!!

Yes, If you know how to tweak/play with android, then nexus 5 is full of opportunities and lots of unofficial support.
Just try it ones and go ti xda, there is an ocean of jewels for nexus 5.

I had ordered it on release and got it a week after that and from then till now it has been perfect. Battery life might not be the best, in the beginning I had only 3H SoT, but after tweaking the settings alone, I am able to get around 4-5H SoT. This is on pure stock android, and without using any apps to help out. Mind you, I could increase this SoT further with the use of certain Apps or a new kernal/rom.

Stock camera is ok, but a 3rd party app easily beats it and really shows the power of the N5's camera.

Overall, the Nexus 5 is a great phone, it just takes a bit of tweaking to get it where it needs to be.
