But I leave WiFi On and Bluetooth too. Maybe you don't use your phone properly because what's properly for you might not be properly for me. It has a camera and I use it along with a music player I use with Bluetooth headphones. The play store has games that work fine on it. Maybe you should lighten up and play a game. It's fun.

You could apply that logic to a lot of things.
e.g. Why do some manufacturers put an Octo (8 core) processor in their phones when it only uses 2, or at the most, 4 cores?

I must have one of the few trouble free N5 phones around. I purchased it in November 2013 and it has been working splendidly since then. I had a small problem with the sound levels at first but that was sorted out with a widget from the Play Store.
I upgraded to Lollipop via the OTA update and that has run trouble free since installing. All the built in apps and third party ones run without any problems. The battery never overheats but that is because I use the phone properly. I never play games on the phone, I use a hand held console for that; I only use WiFi at home so that the battery isn't overheating as the phone searches for open networks, and I use 3G only when I'm out. Using those methods I can easily get 2 days use out of a single charge of the battery.
Use the phone the way it was designed to be used and it will run trouble free and last a long time.

Though its speaker is not that much loud as moto g2 or moto x but headphone quality is far better than these 2phones. And keep in mind best brand phones have low loud speaker volume for example apple iPhone, HTC etc. I bought it from eBay only in 21700 k and I am loving it but if u planning to buy don't update it to lollipop version still lollipop 5.01 not releases.

If u download DU battery saver we will get battery percentage indication on screen. That's great and also improves battery life.

Dear all, I bought my Lg nexus 5 last week, it came with KitKat version, I got updated for lollipop version almost 500 MB data required to update. After updating to lollipop so many problems arised such as battery drains faster even mobile is on standby mode, WiFi connection problem, camera problem, frequent heating when playing games n while charging. Then I read review on ndtv gadget and there is good news for all those who are using N5 that android 5.01 will be recently launching but exact date is yet to declare thanks to google.
If anyone having battery drain issue try this before charging your phone shutdown it and keep for charging after 2 hrs of charging ON it and u will find ur battery draining issue will be sort out.
And also u can download Dr. Battery saver from play store to off running applications when ur mobile is on standby mode. Overall this is best phone but android need to be improved.

I have found a neat app on the Play Store called Battery Percent for KitKat / L, which puts the battery percentage on the battery icon in your notification bar. I don't know why something like that wasn't included in the update.

                                    hello all,
after searching for some solution to my problem and with no result i opted for Factory Resetting.
it resulted in deletion of all apps that i had installed. but looks to have solve the problem. now i have left only 2 apps not installed which were when i had the problem.
So solution appears to be factory resetting.
                                    regards,

Purchased my LG Nexus 5 only 5 days ago. Already experiencing problems. Initially, I was able to transfer music and photos from my computer (Windows 8) via a USB cable. However, something has gone wrong with the "driver". My computer no longer recognizes the Nexus 5, even though it emits the usual beep when I plug in the USB cable. I have tried to reach LG for support. What a terrible help website! They don't even list the Nexus 5. I have deleted the Nexus driver from my computer and reinstalled it. No improvement. Well, at least I have the awesome Costco money back guarantee to fall back on!
