Lavi, 15 Sep 2016Tks! Can you monitor it and tell me tomorrow also, I'm plan... moreIt has been 5 days since upgraded to Nougat. Battery performance is quite stable and contrary to other comments, my N5X has been able to withstand normal usage until evening without recharging at mid-day. Under less usage, my N5X able to maintain good discharge of battery at max 40% around 7pm.

My normal daily usage will be internet, FB, instagram, emails, occasionally little game like freecell. I don't play heavy usage games, maybe that's why battery consumption is good on my phone.

Got Android N update yesterday in India. First main improvement is battery and buttery smooth. Notifications customization is very useful.

Standby consumption is less but Screen's battery consumption is now worse. Previously 1min took 2.07 mAh where as it takes 3mAh right now.im disappointed

Does cleaning the cache partition or factory reset improves the battery life?

You can install some battery saver apps to prolong the battery life. I am using JOOX, Whatapps, Fb, S Health, Camera at the same times, from my experience, my phone's battery can last about 6-7 hours accord to my "heavy" usage, I am users of android 7.0 Nougat and I don't think the battery drain very fast, it depends on how you use it, battery drain fast is common problems for all models of phone, you probably can find similar complaints on others brand phone. You don't need to downgrade to android v6.0 actually, new android always better than the old ones in my humble opinion.

At last, LG Nexus 5x is an epic phone, you cannot deny that, as there are so many good reviews on Youtube, Sites and bloggers recommend to this "budgeted phone". For those who intend to purchase, just go ahead, I would suggest go for 32GB model as there is no any micro slim slot if you like to store a lot of pictures and videos etc,

The deal behind these types of phones are simple. If your tired of paying for a leased phone through the carriers (AT&T Sprint Verizon etc...). Then these phone have good enough specs and hit a price point that is affordable without breaking the bank. Example- The Galaxy Note 7 cost around $900 on contract through AT&T. Pay $35 a month for 20 months and keep the phone or pay that for 12 months and return it, barring there is nothing wrong with it, to upgrade to the next new thing.
I personally would rather buy a phone outright than have a carrier dictate when I have to upgrade. No this phone isn't the best of the best but it will surely handle what most users need plus you get the newest software before anyone else. I bought (on contract) an LG v10 that I've had for 10 months only for it to Boot Loop death on me. Leaving me with the options of going phoneless for 2-3 weeks while LG fixes it or go ahead pay off the contract and buy a phone that has close to the same or better specs in some aspects off contract.
