Anonymous, 20 Jan 2016Are you sing the OEM charger? Are you using at your office ... moreYes I am using the standard OEM charger. And the problem that I sometimes face is in a electrical 3 plug extension, where 2 of them are already in use. In this case, the imprint some times doesn't work properly, but it gets resolved after I unlock it by pin. This happened to me twice in the same plug. But the other ones seem ok. You might be right there. But i feel a bit of slugginess in the UI while its charging. But then again I am not sure, because i have been reading all this comments about unresponsiveness in the phone while charging, so I could be a bit over sensitive now. But in the end, I just want to make sure that using the original OEM does not affect the phone in the long run.

In my opinion the speakers are fine
the screen is superb.
its pure android ,
it has the last updates
2 gb ram its enought
Havent seen any lag yet.
it has a fast finger print reader
it has a superb camera
the battery ( if u take care using greenify , stoping apps that drain battery like facebook ,etc)
i can get a sot of 5 hours thats fine
Cons.
The vibration motor feels cheap.

AnonD-490056, 18 Jan 2016Hello everybody, I bought my Nexus 5X 32GB end of December... moreAre you sing the OEM charger? Are you using at your office desk with other power adapters near by? Not sure if your's is the same issue but I used to face this problem and I moved the charger to a standalone wall socket and the problems are gone. The issue returns if I plug it back into the previous powerboard with other adapters and lot of wires nearby.

Hello everybody,
I bought my Nexus 5X 32GB end of December and the phone was built in November. I did not face any problems with it until a week ago when i realized that the imprint wasn't working while the phone was charging and the UI seemed slightly slower than usual bit still completely operational. I came to know about the charging issues and the communities created for sharing information about it ever since (such as on Reddit). I have been monitoring the charging pattern of my phone. Apparently on my unit, this happens sometimes when its charging especially if the battery is reaching its maximum capacity (85%+). Even then If i unlock it once, the imprint works fine afterwards. But the phone is totally operational while its charging. Apparently taking all the evidence into account this is the chargers problem. As long as we have to wait for an official response from Google, does using the official supplied charger cause any defects in the phone in any way? (the battery or any other hardware component) Has somebody faced similar issues? Thanks !

Google should learn a thing or two from Huawei:
1. 4000 mAh should be the minimum standard for any smartphone nowadays. Games and browsing will drain 2000 - 3000+ mAh batteries in less than 4 hours even starting at 100%.
What's the point of having a gorgeous display and powerful phone if it is dead before
lunch time? And no, don't tell me to always bring the 'fast' charger and/or powerbank
everyday. That's just too many things to carry and one that becomes a burden.
And no, fast charging is a poor compromise for a big battery.
2. Dual SIM. Modern smartphones should at the bare minimum, provide dual SIM support.
One SIM for cheaper data package and another SIM for cheaper phone calls and text
package --- or one sim for home and another for work or for local and international
travel to save on roaming data. There are plenty other uses for two SIMs and the latest
Android versions support them, so why limit one's flexibility?
3. SD card. SD card support is very useful for people who love to have the entire music collection, HD movie collection and photo collection in their PC's, available anytime, anywhere even without data connection. They can mirror or screencast (wifi-direct) the movies and photos to any TV anywhere they go, no internet connection needed!
Besides, smartphones nowadays offer ever increasing camera resolutions and ever increasing video resolutions (4K) which will devour a standard 32 GB internal storage in no time, so why not provide SD card support?

I use Qiku q Terra 808, which has same SOC and ram, like Nexus 5 x but duoscopic rear camera fingerprint scanner, bezelless 6' gorgeous display, 3700 mah battery.... at much lower cost than Nexus 5P. Playing heavy games are handled with ease. Why should I buy Nexus 5P? Correct price would be $250 for Nexus 5P.

Anyone else find the hidden video recording fault! Most video recordings are recorded upside-down, all software auto rotates so no one know they have a problem, but copy the videos to a memory stick & plug into TV & videos are upside down, also video editing software shows upside-down.
Google Fix please.

I am not impressed by the phone at all after using the phone for 2 days. battery couldn't last for a day with normal use of browsing, emailing (no gaming, no video playing). and battery is quite warm with file downloading. auto brightness is not working stably, keeps adjusting brightness under the same dark lighting. running speed is just acceptable. IMO, nexus 5x is a failure.
