LG has just sent out a press release confirming that the LG Optimus 2X smartphone will be coming to the UK and rest of Europe at sometime during March, as reported by Engadget.Personally i think it will be released at the end of april.
AND
Clove and Expansys have all listed the Samsung Galaxy S II for pre-order, with the handset expected to release sometime in mid to late March.
If s2 comes first i will change my pre order to galaxy s 2 and goodbye LG,s2 got faster gpu anyway.

Found a great feature of LG O2X...
You can connect it to PC and there will be On-Screen phone in the monitor...
much better than Motorola Atrix expensive dock
Now this is awesome..

If less ram is locked by the os, and blocked from the user, then more ram can be used for apps and games. 2X only have 372 mb ram available for apps and games. Apps and games can run even with almost no ram but that will be a much slower experience than with more ram. 2X is a very good choice, dual-core and not very expensive, but it would have been even better with more ram.

I DON'T THINK LG optimus 2x music player affects the ram but that is not to say you aren't far from the truth. my point is the player can't close. with Galaxy s the music player can be close and the reason when you start booting from the scratch it needs an allocated memory and the reaseon why the ram drops from 500mb to 320mb or so. but here is the case the music player is already open with LG OP...2x and the ram is 512mb, so just think about it. :) probably a step in the right direction.

LG allocated ram from the 512 mb total ram so only 372 of those 512 mb ram is still available for the user. It is not clear if the ram that the musicplayer uses is taken from those 372 or is among the ram that is not available to the user of the 512 mab total ram.

On this video I can stop it after running for 34 seconds and then I can see how much internal memory it have and how much of the ram is available to the user. Unfortunatly LG have used 1.5 gb of the "8 gb" and reserved that for Android and leave only the rest as an internal sd-card, and that is a problem because that internal sd-card is actually used by apps as an external sd-card for installing maps for navigation software and the massive data for games... so 2X will not have enough memory. I have the same problem on my Galaxy S where Android use 2 gb and leave only the rest as an internal "external" sd-card for installing map-data and gamedata...
372 mb ram is available for the user, but because the musicplayer is running all the time and is not possible to turn of, 2X very fast run out of enough ram and that is a problem when multitasking.
