I've had this phone for about a year now. I bought it off Amazon.co.uk and took it back to South Africa. 4 days after getting the phone, I rooted and installed a custom ROM and kernel (Temasek's CM7 kang 135.3 FINAL, Etana's kernel ). The stock LG software was utter sh1te. Terrible battery life and general lagginess. Furthermore, LG lied about releasing an ICS update for this phone, so you are stuck with Android 2.2 unless you root.
That said, if you are up to truly making this phone yours by rooting and installing a custom ROM, you will come to love this phone. The price is amazing, the performance is solid, and HDMI-out on a phone litterally blows peoples' minds.
So there you have it. As stock, I'd rate the phone 5/10. rooted with a custom ROM, I give it a 9/10 (cuz nothing is perfect)

huh...its a phone with good specs....but camera usually hangs....its the worst thingg...

I'm using this phone from last January 2012. One day I used the skype video call over my home wi-fi network continuously over 40minutes and my battery went low. So I plugged it in to recharge and after few minutes phone heated up like I can fry an egg on its surface. Now my phone is always heating when I charge it, using wi-fi for long time, using network for long time and using skype. Can anyone tell me what is the problem please? What should I do?

over all this mob is one of the best mobiles you could get, with HDMI support it is a phone to get, the only draw back...... its battery timing

the combination is flawless
use go launcher EX on top of that
