here is my take on mid range dual core android phones
ie under 20000rs the phones available are
1>LG optimus 2X (2X)
2>Samsung Galaxy S Advance(SGA)
3>Sony Xperia Sola
4>HTC Desire X
According to the release date
1>lg 2X has dual core nvedia tegra 2 processor
since this phone was a flagship device in its heyday it comes with more bells & whistles (like HDMI port,8mp camera,1080p recording & playback) when compared to rest of the competition even though the processor is old it trashes samsung galaxy s2 in 3d graphics & gaming benchmarks according to samrtbench 2011games, it even has ips lcd which is found in high end phones like htc onex ,one x+,optimus 4X etc
this phone is a gamer's phone affordable the only draw back is its battery life
2> SGA is a good phone well built its performance is similar to that of 2X but looses out in gaming
department for normal casual usage this phone is no different than galaxy s2 the main draw back is its camera it has no zooming option otherwise it's a good phone
3>sony Xperia sola even this phone's performance is similar to SGA it has the same processor & chip set of SGA the main draw back is its subparr battery performance , no secondary camera & has ordinary s lcd display which is not bright or colorful enough
4>HTC desire x it is the new phone & the most expensive ofem all it is very well built houses a new
snapdragon s4 processor
But it lacks many features no secondary camera.No hd video recording this is because of old chipset & old gpu. even this phone has ordinary s lcd display & has the least performance ofem all
so if i want to select from these phones i would select SGA or 2X (mainly SGA it has better battery)

It's a very good phone. But has some problems. lt can be the best phone ever but it lacks some features like
1. It should have continuous autofocus in video mode.
2.Should be upgradable to v4.x
3.should have active noise cancellation feature.
4.Should have stereo sound recordings during video recording.
5.Should have a ram of 1GB.
6.Should have a better battery life.
Although it lacks those features/functionalities but it's a very good one

this phone is average cant text enough catfacts or my girlfriend amanda :( 0/10 horrible battery life and everything

I've few questions about ... more1) yes, u can even play shadowgun, nova 3 like games without any lag, it lags sometimes but that doesnt affect ur game...in short u can play almost all games without much lag
2) yes, the battery lasts for a day

James, 12 Oct 2012I think the ICS Update is now available.Please check.i check it and still nothing about updating.in a site they wrote that the update will be availiable in december now..lets laugh...lg useless..

I'am planning to buy this phone
I've few questions about it so guys who have useed this phone please answer
1> Can i play 3d & hd games like temple run, frontline commander without any lag
2>Dose this phone have descent battery life (ie it should last at least 12hours of moderate usage)

ICS is out for the Korean version SU660, still not out for P990, but custom roms should be out soon.

iam an owner of lg optimus 2x amd iam very dissappointed of not getting ics update yet.my girlfriend has an xperia mini phone and had the update months ago and now is getting jely bean..no more lg phones thats the sure..

Horrible phone - I have a dual sim LG Optimus.It is a horrible phone. The battery can get drained multiple times a day. Controls are sluggish. The OS may hang at times. Support is not very good.

In the SW department, OB is better since it has official cm10 support but O2x is way better in HW. Choose O2x as soon as ICS will be released.

its a great phone awsome processing and multi tasking arm7 processor nvidia tegra 2 512 ram the only problerm is the heats up a lot and shut off sometimes due to excess heating or memory dump i would advice people who are using the 2x they should root their phone in an hands on experience its flying now better battery life smooth responce and great gameplay but now its been overtaken by 4x which better anyday because of the 1.5 processor tegra 3 and 1 gb ill be upgradeing to that phone in some time

its a really good phone..no.performance issues but drains battery q lot..charging wid laptop may increase the battery life..it isnt coming wid full preloaded games they are just demp versions..other companies provide pre installed full games....but i must a it an little beast witj fantastic performance...
