Hello there.. Is this phone getting ICS? I really like this phone because of its dual core processor, but i wanna make sure if it is getting ice cream sandwich. I'm a little doubtful of getting this device, atrix 2(with 1gb of ram)or nexus s. I just want to switch from my blackberry.

But just make sure its available and has no h... moreThanks PMD, I will definitely consider your opinion on Galaxy R, and the least price I have explored for the phone is around 19K, tell me if you know a dealer who can crack it in a better price...can i also request you to share ur ideas on why Galaxy R is a better phobe than 2X, keeping in mind 2X has better camera features...?

i have it for two months now, and i have to say that despite many negative comments all over the net it is a very nice phone indeed
one thing that definitely could be improved is camera, pictures are worst than with any of my previous phones (n900, e72, n82) - i really expected more here
first thing that you need to do is update software to latest 2.3 android, it is a must have, otherwise you will be disappointed!
(there is ics coming in a month or so, but personally i would wait for few more months, as decent software is hardly a lg strong side)
then if you want get most of your phone install titanium backup and remove all bloatware that this phone is filled with, it really, really helps - there is handful of forums that will guide you on what can be removed safely
after that just use it :)
for past 6 weeks i didn't have single problem with it (i.e. no reboots, no battery drain, no calls problems etc.)
i guess it is NOT a good phone for android beginners, but it can work extremely well if you willing to spend few hours tuning it (and with recent amazon sales it can be purchased unlocked for around 220 euro, which seems extremely good value for me)

hello sirs, according to the article of gsmarena comparing optimus2x to galaxy r optimus 2x has autofocus in video recording...however browsing through some video samples in youtube there is no video there that indicates optimus 2x can do macro video nor any kind of focusing mode...
so errr whats up?

Hello all the geeks out there....I have researched extensively on this Galaxy R and i am very much impressed by the Phone, but still am in a fix between Optimus 2X and Galaxy R. Please help my tension resolve and help me choose the best one. I noted LG outdoes Galaxy R in terms of Camera quality but Galaxy R outperforms 2X in terms of Hardware specs. Please tell me which one should I go for. I am buying eitehr of this phone this Saturday. Hence please help...I am more interested in Galaxy R then Optimus 2X please tell me buying Galaxy R would be a wise decision...

Does both of the speakers worked normally? My LG Optimus 2x's left speaker is actually not working and I don't know why.. Please HELP!!

To all of LG P990 users who aren't satisfied with your phone, just install custom ROM on it! Go search for custom ROM on forum.xda-developer. Currently I'm using custom Rom Gueste2x v3.

battery is not good, but if u see even Gs2 battery is not so good not onlg gs2 but also other android phones.
install task killer or fast reboot from market for lagging problem.

With the 2.3 gingerbread installed the device is awesome. Very fast and works smoothly .My only point is the battery duration.
It should be at list 1900mha

worst phone ever. i have been using this since june 2011 and i regret everyday. for a DUAL-CORE phone, it lags like crazy! sometimes takes 5-10seconds to go to my homepage and i dont have many games installed. also, some calls can't get through. they go straight to voicemail. battery is bad.
