Setting-wireless-mobile network-unchecked the DATA....
And now connect to your wifi internet connection
Using skype application go to contact long press the name you want to connect and click videocall....

For anybody who upgraded to gingerbread for Optimus 2x, how were able to so, the lgmobile software says no updates avaliable. I live in Canada.

Honestly I wish I would've gotten the LG Optimus Q that ST (my service) had instead of this one. Randomly shutting off and the processor just being inundated even if you only have a handful of apps open. (fyi a friend of mine has the Samsung Prevail, for Boost Mobile, and it's been doing the same thing). I don't own this phone but i'd recommend it anyway just based on the specs. besides, if enough people make noise they may enable skype on android OS phones (it worked for the SOPA bill. lol)

if you want save battery you need to disabled bac... moreI have an LG Optimus 2X and simply cannot get the front camera working for skype. If you know how, please do tell us. Myself and (it appears) many other people are keen to use this feature. Can you explain how to get this to work?

the mobile has lag even with dual-core
the battery is terrible
with just medium usage you have to charge it every 14 hours
i upgraded it to gingerbread(2.3.4)

This is in New Zealand though, where the release may not be offered from LG.
