Think got for half a year, yes no 2,3 udpate yet, but could be solved via Cyangenmod, which is custom ROM. Thats turns optimus to a beast :) performance according to hardware :)

I'm on the verge of getting this phone. To owners/users of the Optimus 2x, please tell me why I should NOT buy this phone.

I had this phone for about two months now and I experience common bugs like random rebooting but since I updated to v10e it's all gone.. certainly enjoying it now

If you uncheck "data enable" option under the mobile network settings your battery life last so much longer. I just turn it back on if I can't find a wifi spot and I need to surf the Internet.

Anybody got the Gingerbread update

Tested out the new CM7 rom which uses gingerbread 2.3.7 and it seems to work ok for the most part. The UI is much better than the stock one, very slick and lag free. All the basic functionality works fine. There were a couple of annoying bugs i encountered, i couldnt import my contacts off my simcard it kept telling me there was none on there. Had issues accessing the internal storage when i plugged it into my computer, it wouldnt always show up for some reason. Battery life seemed slightly better, not sure if thats due to it running on gingerbread or if they've just tweaked some other settings.

RJ, 09 Oct 2011what about its battery backup???Had this phone for a couple of weeks now. If you use it smartly and configure it correctly the battery life isn't too bad from my experience. With moderate use it easily gets me thru the day. That includes 1-2 hours of watching movies, regular checking and posting on facebook, a few calls, a few sms, a bit of web browsing and testing out apps from the market.

I bought this phone in July and there the lot of problems started. Mobile network dropping, wifi not connecting, phone restarts when tried to connect to wifi, head phone does not get detected and have to try three times atleast to get the radio working. I bought this phone for my office work (Email and OC). I was able to configure email but this phone does not sync calendar and does not update it. Office talk does not work (OS issue). I got the phone checked at the service centre and they gave me a new phone as a replacement. I was happy thinking that only that device had issues. I was wrong, the new phone gives me the same problems. I am gonna wait until I get the 2.3 update hoping to get all the issues resolved. If not, I am determined to get the money back and never Buy LG phones.

well i bought my phone 2 months ago and i had lugs like freeze but after update it to version v10e these lugs are gone and phone responds faster too so now i dont have any problem with my phone. UI is working good too only problem is that my battery could be better i must charge it each day but from all other sides it is working great and fast ;)
