Do not update your phone to ICS, This phone becomes sluggish and slow after the update. Also be aware that this phone overheats, it crashes alot and it reboots everything to stock after crash, deleting the apps and pictures inside the phone.

Yeah, even we got the official update. But still my Laptop (Windows 7) is not recognizing the LG Phone with the LG Driver software.
Tried to root it via other sites suggestions. Nothing worked. LG Driver software is not at all recognizing the phone.
Have to try with a machine with Windows XP to do the update

I have been using this phone for an year and 2 months. It started giving trouble like freezing and auto restart etc so i flashed and installed custom rom cm10.1. bit then couldn't hear anything when in a call and microphone issues. then again installed cm 7. used well for a month and again the problems came. wiped cache and fixed permissions nothing works. useless.

Ics update to Lg optimus 2x sucks!!! It is verry luggysh in multi-tasking, and when i was connected to power to charge it, he has reset to its factory presets!!! Ics 4.0.0 is the worst update for many brands like sanmsung n7000, like lg o2x...etx. we need Jelly Bean!

I found that the antenna/signal is not so good as an old Nokia 6300 or a Samsung Wave (1). That's strange because no review warned about that. For example, GSM Area review said: "LG Optimus One 2X showed good signal reception even in areas of poor coverage".
