If you've just updated to ICS 4.04 and you're facing lag issues, you have to do a "hard reset" on the phone.
**Just keep a backup of your important data or at least create one before as this operation will restore your phone's ROM to system defaults while keeping ICS 4.04 as your OS. It will not format your SD card, but it's always a good thing to make a backup beforehand.**
Ready? Then go to Settings > Privacy > Factory data reset. Confirm it, wait a little and that's it. your phone should have got rid of most of the lag... (remember you have only about 350MB of user-availabe RAM)

Anyone who says that his/her Optimus 2X got screwed over, here is a fitting response from LG for them.
"During the second quarter of 2012 upgrades will begin for the following smartphone models: the LG Optimus LTE, Prada phone by LG 3.0, the LG Optimus 2X, the LG Optimus Sol, the LG my Touch Q and the LG Eclipse. These upgrades will be followed by upgrades for the following smartphone models during the third quarter of 2012: the LG Optimus 3D, the LG Optimus Black, the LG Optimus Big, the LG Optimus Q2 and the LG Optimus EX."

I have had this phone for several years now. First of all it all seemd fine, it looked grate at first, I have found that not only are LG phones very reliable but the amount of support you receive is outstanding.
All in all I'm glad I finally got rid of this phone, it has been the worst phone I have had for a while now.
I would highly recommend that you do not buy mobile phones from a company that makes refrigerators and ovens for a living, this is reflected in the long time it took for this Dual Core phone to receive an ICS update.
And last but not least while developing apps for android and testing this using ADB I have noticed that LG has no idea how to make stable USB drivers for debugging which constantly crash and require you to reinstall them.
Overall the phone has potential but it's let down by the huge amount of bloat ware which reflects in how slow it actually runs, for example even the ICS update is very very very slow and you constantly have to close apps and free RAM to make sure the phone runs smoothly. When will phone companies finally realise that we do not want their crappy, un-skilfully built, useless apps on our phones but would rather prefer a light weight system that doesn't require you to constantly free up RAM.
NEVER EVER BUY AN LG PHONE. EVEN IF IT'S CHEAP, EVEN IF IT LOOKS GOOD ALWAYS GO FOR A DIFFERENT BRAND BECAUSE SOMEWHERE ALONG THE LINE YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED, EITHER BY THE VIRTUALLY IN EXISTENT SUPPORT YOU RECEIVE OR BY THE HUGE AMOUNT OF BLOAT WARE THAT SLOWS DOWN THE OPERATING SYSTEM.

i got official update ICS from LGMobile Support Tool and now this phone is very fast compare to the old gingerbread! i haven't experienced any lag.
