it is very strange that a lot of GS2 fans are here ,,is it because your GS2 consider as another dual-cor smartphone..but our OP3D is UNIQUE?

I really do LOVE this phone. But with such a great phone
there is still room for improvement. How about a FM radio, amoloid display and a 12 megapixel camera, to start with? And let's amp up that battery a few more hours. Other than that, this phone rocks like no body's business. OH and those 3D games! As they say, I'm lovin it!

I wanted an Android Phone with some good specs, so I went to one of the famous stores in KSA - for the second time - with the intention to buy a GSII and again, for the second time, I hesitated.. the reason is the build quality.. no offense here, I’m a Samsung fan myself, the GSII is a great phone, but the all plastic constructions looks cheap and feels like a toy in hand.. I checked some other phones and I really liked the way P920 feel in my hand, I liked the build quality, the specs are fine and the price tag is comparatively reasonable, the “Made in Korea” statement sealed the deal.. I bought it.. I upgraded to Android 2.3.5.. the phone is just fine, not great, but fine.. snappy, nice display, the 3d is a welcome feature.. my main disappointment came from the camera.. my older wave II could do much better in that term, and I wonder if it is a software problem and if something can be done here (Any Ideas? LG?).. It would have been a great phone if produced better image quality..
I cannot return the phone because the seller’s policy do not include refund/replacement because I simply do not like the performance. But if I had a second choice between P920 and GSII then I’d chose neither, and go straight for EVO 3D

Since the release of the “Gingerbread” update for the LG Optimus 3D (mid November 2011 for the European open handsets), many (if not all) of the handsets suffer from what the users themselves refer to as random “ghost-calls”. While a caller trying to reach an Optimus 3D owner hears a normal ringing tone on his side, the Optimus 3D doesn’t really ring and there is no record of a missed call either. This way, the called party has no knowledge that somebody tried to reach them until the caller complains in person. There is a dedicated thread for the “ghost calls issue” at the web site of XDA developers ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1475351 ) and several complaints have been sent to LG Mobile’s support page and Facebook wall by users from different countries. Sadly, LG have made no public announcements regarding the issue…
Conclusion: If you want a 3D phone and not just a 3D media player / game pad, I suggest you go for the HTC Evo3D.

I purchased this phone in australia when it was first released, it was great and then the problems started... it would turn off of its own accord and then go directly back to the lock screen and then it did it more and more until it went into a continuous boot cycle. i sent it away and they did a factory reset and put on the new gingerbread (that the phone would not let me download. it came back fine then it started doing the same thing again and now wont recognise any sim placed into it. i have sent it away again but i hold little hope the phone will be fixed this time either. all this taken into account i still love this phone and if i were to get another phone it would be the p920 but the seccond time if the same problems persist then it would be the galaxy s2 unfortunately.

nanel0, 14 Feb 2012I need to know one thing, the HSPDA band is 900/1900/2100 o... moreBand is: A specific range of frequencies (for example those between 1850 MHz and 1995 MHz) are called a band and it's vary by country.
and HSDPA is:
HSDPA (High-Speed Downlink Packet Access)
An upgrade for UMTS networks that doubles network capacity and increases download data speeds by five times or more.
The service was initially deployed at 1.8 Mbps but upgrades to the networks and new user devices led to increased rates of 3.6 Mbps, followed by 7.2 Mbps.
HSDPA only handles the downlink while the uplink is handled by a related technology called HSUPA. The combination of both technologies is usually called HSPA.
So it's depends on your country and if your mobile support 3G, and is it dual band or quad band or not

I just bought this phone a few weeks ago...and...after my experience with it so far I simply feel I need to state this: IT IS AMAZING! It's very fast, it didn't even freeze once although tens of apps were installed, tested and uninstalled so the dual processor and dual memory are really worth the extra pennies...With juice saver even I easily get 2 days out of the battery on moderate use. Aside from all this which, in my book, are the most important features in a phone, I also have the whole 3d thingie. Granted, it doesn't compare to an imax experience and might disappoint people after seeing the ads for this phone (no, cars won't come out of your phone, sorry) it still is an amazing feature for a handheld device that requires no glasses. I know I might sound like an LG hire promoter but I really see this as a great phone.

Gingerbread Update for Optimus 3D was released but users are reporting that some calls does not reach to the phone. Because of the problem named "Ghost Call", users are having serious problems in their life like missing calls of job appointments. We are waiting on LG's feedback on the topic.
