I own it. I think, It is good, but battery is the main problem. I have downloaded Avatar 3D and this is awesome, believe. If video is filmed high quality, then it is best in phone too. But youtube is full of crap named 3D videos. Only 5-10 videos are real stereoscopic. Good phone, i like it.

I recently got this phone an a 48 month contract, little did i know what i was commiting to, the first one i had, repeatidly turned itself off about 5-6 times a day, i then took this back and changed it for another handset and on this one the battery would last for about 6 hours of non-use with nothing turned on.
Not exactly the best phone out but i guess i have to use it until the contract is up

Overlooked your post saabir2007 my response was to James Burland post.Gingerbread on December 5th I'll stick to my previous comment : i would rather wait for a good product ! it's a great phone! it would be ashamed to mess it up with rushed update...

i have had the optimus 3d for about 2 month's.i love it it's a great smart! and all the stuff about gingerbread being month's to late while ICS is already being introduced, i thought: i would rather wait for a good product then be the first with something that could have been better !(there are quit a few enhancements lg made to gingerbread specially for optimus). HOWEVER when you cant make the long awaited release date and you announce it by saying "the new update once released will enhance your LG Smartphone experience" not giving a new date or anything just saying WHEN you get it you'll like it !!!! come on.....that's just....

Just got this confirmation about the delay to the Gingerbread update:
"LG is committed to ensuring that the upgraded Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system works flawlessly from day one, and is putting the software through a rigorous quality control process which is taking longer than anticipated. We apologise to customers who have been inconvenienced by the upgrade delay, and are confident that the new update once released will enhance your LG Smartphone experience."
How annoying, and only a few days after the press release!

I emailed LG directly, this was the reply:
Dear --------------------
Thank you for your email.
Unfortunately the 2.3 android update is not yet available for your P920 handset. We have been informed that the update is due to become available for all open P920 handsets on the 5th December. LG is committed to ensuring that the upgraded Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system works flawlessly from day one, and is putting the software through a rigorous quality control process which is taking longer than anticipated. We apologise to customers who have been inconvenienced by the upgrade delay, and are confident that the new update once released will enhance your LG Smartphone experience.
I hope this has been of some assistance to you.
Please do not hesitate in contacting us again should you require any further advice.

Be a bit more patient and you will definitely have it within 2 weeks (if you have an UNLOCKED phone only). If your phone is locked, THEN you MIGHT have to wait till the end of the year, but that decision is from your NETWORK, not LG.

Barracuda, 21 Nov 201121st of November is here and yet there is still no Update, ... moreNot to rub it too much in your face, but you really should learn to read what is written. I shall put the important phrase below this:
"The upgrade will be available starting in Europe from the Open model in the week of November 21, followed by other markets until the end of the year."
In the week of November 21. That means somewhere during this week, might be today, may be on sunday November 27. If you have a European phone, being an Open Model and still don't have an update after that day is over, THEN you have a valid reason to fume, before that, you're just an impatient troll.
