This is a really good phone, and the battery can actually last quite awhile compared to what other sites are saying about it's battery life.
When having 2G mode ticked, and data transfer off, it only drains 1% battery for every 2-3 hours of having your phone screen off and idle.
When I was doing a test with N64oid (an Android N64 emulator), the battery life was 3.5 hours of continuous gameplay on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time with headphones plugged in, 75% brightness, and 40% volume.
Your battery DOES drain a bit faster when using your 3D option with videos and pictures but it's a nice experience, and I personally, have NOT had a headache or that dizzy feeling when using it, and I have not used any other 3D devices out there before.
An interesting thing about the 3D mode and YouTube is that you can go onto YouTube, search "3d" and scroll down to view a lot of uploaded videos that are 3D Steroscopic which were recorded from nVidia 3D drivers on certain computers.
All in all, it's pretty fast too.
It's omap chipset @ 1.08ghz dual-core processor is faster than certain other chipsets even with them based at 1.2ghz. The omap chipset is a hardcore one.
It fits perfectly in your hand, it isn't too heavy, isn't too light, the back cover comes off easily whenever you need to take it off, and snaps in easily.
It MAY have somewhat short of a battery life, but when the 2.3 Gingerbread update comes out in October, it will improve/fix the battery life, as well as this new feature: The abililty to change any OpenGL landscape-mode apps/games into Stereoscopic 3D.
Meaning, you can play Angry Birds in 3D, as well as many, many other games/apps.

It does have multi-touch, I own one.
I used a multi-touch test, and placed 8 fingertips on it, and it detected every single one at once.

Anonymous, 06 Aug 2011It's a shame that the 3d "magic" gives you a poun... moreFirst time you use glasses-less 3D, yes it can make you dizzy and/or give you a headache.
I had that the first time I used my 3DS but I just had a rest, tried again, had a rest, eventually your eyes/brain gets used to it and it stops being a problem.
So by the time I got my Optimus 3D it has little effect on me at all. Its only really a problem if I am tired or already feeling dizzy.

It's a shame that the 3d "magic" gives you a pounding headache. All of my colleagues find it uncomfortable after a couple of minutes. This ruins what would otherwise be a nice handset and if you turn off the 3d function, you might as well have bought the cheaper 2x.
