•Reduced fuel consumption and heating of the smartphone
•Implemented a limiting brightness of the display when the temperature is too high
•Changed the icon selector brightness in the notification bar
•Added a security warning when you turn up the volume too high using headphones, accordance with EC directives
•Added the Taking the cheese' in the camera to take the picture saying 'cheese''
•Fixed some anomalies of disconnection wth bluetooth equinment mounted on BWM 5 Series
•Improved performance of Wi-Fi in sleep mode
•Added hot key to hold and retrieve a call
•Update Google Mobile Suite Implement
•The latest security/ patches

theres other fixes in v10d and v10e under which some camera fixes and some speed increases. and most likely other patches and some minor changes.
so updating to v10f is a good plan :)

Any idea what is the latest firmware available?
In South East Asia, the latest I can see is V10C.
Can someone highlight on what issues has been fixed in latest firmware?

Anonymous, 09 Sep 2012Pino, i just love u. U sound very mature in ur comments. So... morei must say i like the optimus G but for only 1 reason and thats 2 gb ram the rest im not all that interested in.
LTE is pretty much useless here in europe anyway as theres hardly any coverage and its rediculously expencive.
to a point i agree with you to get what you need and dont waste extra money on features you do not need.
however if like me you plan on using a phone for atleast 2/3 years there are some things to consider like replacable battery as you will need to replace it or a little faster cpu then you need as in th near future apps will become more demanding and you will want to run those also.
but if your one of those people that but a new phone every year thats pretty irelevant.
and personaly the only reason the krait core will be better is because its not 40nm but 32 which saves about 15 to 25% power which makes your battery last longer and thats one of the most important aspects of a mobile phone.
but seeing this optimus g will be atleast 100 euro more expencive then the 4x hd and will nog be widely availeble for ages its not something to consider for people that need a phone now or within months.

i know that some devices have issues with deep sleep and keeping wifi on but i have no clue if thats a setting or a bug.

some people found a solution in going to settings> wifi> advanced> and check always on in sleep.
but for some people thats enabled and still it loses wifi.
in worst case you can try a app called wifi always on or similar apps.
what they do is disable deep sleep so deep sleep cannot disable wifi.
however this could drain the battery faster.

Sixth, 08 Sep 2012I am planning to buy a phone soon. I came from SGSII which ... moreI have been using the HTC One X since the second day it was available for sale, so it's been well over 4 months. because my One X is having connection hands-free Bluetooth problem,and also I wanted to try something new, so I brought the LG 4X HD the day before yesterday.

This is my opinion ... HTC One X battery definitely last much longer (4X HD battery terrible...come with one extra LG battery for free). Battery of the 4X HD get much hotter during phone calls faster, also much hotter during other usage! The touch screen too sensitive when you don't want it to be, but sometimes have to press a few times before responding!! Build quality One X better. Screen & photo quality LG better, but still not as good as the SGS3.

LG 4X HD have it's Pros & Cons; so does the One X, but overall, I prefer the One X ... maybe I should have sold my One X & get another One X instead of the LG! ... the truth is that I already wanted to get rid of my new 4X, because I'm basically not happy with it. Also, I like phones with LED notification light; which is very useful (don't listen to those BG about draining battery!!).

I brought the Samsung SGS3 less than 2 months ago, but did not have the time to upload and download everything from the One X (my main phone) to the GS3. My wife is using the Note, but since I was not using the GS3, she wanted to try it out, and the first day when she use it, the GS3 got stolen!

I really love the GS3 Amoled screen and the vibrant colour (don't care what others comment because I'm the user, the picture quality also best of the three phones. Most of the things of the GS3 is just right. Tomorrow, I'll definitely go & trade in the 4X for the GS3 (I'm not a Samsung lover; not at all, but this is the best of the three phones).

If your choice is down to only the One X & 4X HD, I highly recommend the One X over the 4X HD.

Some people in the world do not really knw what they want in a smartphone, They simply clamour after the specs. tegra3 chip blazes along like no ones biusiness. The only advantage of the krait cores in optimus g. Is the possibility to independently power down the speed or increas the speed, or to turn off some cores when not needed. But that sounds like personal preference. Again lte capabilities. Haha, optimus 4x loads webpages in less than two secs. Isn't that amazing?
No phone is perfect. Look how neatly packaged this device's look is still people re now complaining over quad core krait. Soon there'll be newer, better, ofcos more expensive processors. They'll still zoom along to get one.
In my own opinion,optimus 4x is simply a nice phone. Optimus g. is lg's competitive strategy. Dont be fooled. Get urself what will serve u best not latest techs. Nothing people say will make me chang my mind for this monster. Until it's launched in my country naija. Not even optimus G, nor note.II, or xperia line up, or nokia's finest lumia920. If it gets hot i'll use it under my split unit.p:)

My s2 connect with no problem with wifi .
For lg 4x .. I am not sure but the disconnect from the internet happened after i close the screen and sometime when i watching youtube it disconnect!!

is that because, i download the battery saver from app store and i choice intelligence mode to save the battery and that mode disconnect the wifi?? but i still wonder because my s2 ,there is no problem ..

And pino , do u have any idea when jelly bean update release for lg 4x because lg didnt mention it ?
S2 and s3 will get the jelly bean next 2 weeks .. Do u have any idea !?

and your absolutely right about not noticing speed differences as as i said in one of my earlyer posts a dual core is enough for all apps currently in the market and i dare to bet that a single core 1 ghz is fast enough for atleast 75% of all the apps in the market.
however in the near future apps wil get more advanced and will require more power and then its nice to have another 2 cores.
untill then my advice is to either tune down the cores to 4x 1000 mhz or even lower or just disable 1 or 2 cores which saves a load of battery time reduces heat and you shouldnt see any difference in preformance.

as for wifi ive seen some complaints across the web with various solutions.
some said disabling the N band of the wifi router helped ome said switching to another wifi channel helped some said the wifi from the phone was just not as good at catching a signal.
personaly id install wifi analizer as it not only tells you how good your wifi network is but also displays information about all the fwifi networks near you.
once you haveit installed you will see a screen with all wifi networks near you.
in the middle of each you can see on what channel you are if theres someone on the same channel as you try to move to a channel not in use.

keep in mind that channels overlap.
so if your on channel 2 channel 1 and channel 3 can also interfere on your channel if theres no network on say channel 5,6,7 choosing channel 6 would be ideal.
so just chose a number which connects to the least amount of other networks or atleast the weakest networks if its really crowded.

I have this phone and s2 and i didnt find any different between dual core phone and quad core phone.
My s2 is like rocket when i download app and browsing in internet and even battery as strong as lg 4x .
The s2 has no problem since i bought it last year and it works great after i upload ICS to it..
The main problem with lg 4x got heat faster than any s2 and it sometime get disconnect from wifi while i am browsing and still i dont know what is the problem , do u have any idea and share me some of your experinces !?

Reality is that SPEC DOESN'T Matter in the reall WORLD. Specs work in PAPER ONLY and to IMPRESS & for Journalist review. The true is that until you get 2 particular devices and star using them on REAL and Daily basis that how you know wich device is the BEST for you. =) So bottom line if you are debating whether to get the 4X or the S3 its up to your taste and the USE you are gonna gave to the device and the one you feel comfortable with it. Example GSM ARENA STATE tha the 4X Audio quality leave them wishing for more...and i found it to be CRISP and SHARP. I Don't what kind of music they where listening to....But RINGTONES SOUND LOUD ENOUGH. And MUSIC SOUND COOl. And i Listen to REGGAETON in case you are wondering what REGGAETON is well im from Puerto Rico the house of REGGAETON...Check it out on You Tube. >=) Anyways my Point is the dieferecne in opinion and how something might work for some people and how it doesn't for others

Lets star by saying Im a Customer Care REP From T-Mobile. And i have service with AT&T. Thats a lot to say. I made the update so far Heat WELL I mean lest be honest its a 4 + 1 Quad Core its obvious its gonna heat up. It really don't bother me at all. Camera its really nice resolutions the autofocus seems to be working nice...All do is tricky to catch fast obejcts in motion example a car race or something like that. But over all its Stable. I haven't really made Videos so i can talk with specific details. What i can really Say is how simple is to use and user friendly. How simplye it was to ROOT the device. And how DAM FAST the software and interface is. It does not feel HEAVY OR SLOW like in the S3. And the TEGRA CHIP makes a awesome JOB in the games. My Only Complain is the lack of HDMI PORT. AS FAR as SOFTWARE IM STAYING in ICS 4.0.3. I don't care if Jelly Beams Update is made. I refuse to move to jelly Bean and LOOSE FLASH PLAYER. >=) I think theres no such thing as a Perfect Phone. The Perfect Phones is the one that MEET your goals and usage. I think that just like Iphones people put the galaxys in a freking pedestal. Must people buy the phone as a status quo of saying i got it...90% of them are so dumb that they don't even know how to use them or get the most out of it. only a 5% really get into it. BUT AGAIN getting back to the subject....the 4xx is by FAR in my OPINION a better Device than the S3. Wich is having alot of issues in AT&T and Tmobile i see it every day. But againg 60% is user error.

I am planning to buy a phone soon. I came from SGSII which I gave to my fiance. My choices are One X, Optimus 4x, or Acro S. I have read so many reviews about each one, and I'm almost down to only 2 choices, Optimus 4x or One X. The differences in opinions and reviews are mixed bag, one winning by a hair, like one x has a better implementation of the screen, better design but Optimus has expandable memory slot and better battery. I say its too close to call. Is 10f for the LG available in the philippines?

I just got it 3 days ago...switching from the Optimus Black. so far so good...I didn't bother thinking about buying S3 because everyone has it plus didn't like the design although I have to admit they might be the best Android phone, however, 4X HD is cheaper ($30-60, depending on where you live), and they are about as good. In addition, the design is so sexy and slick...it's amazing.

when i sold my GS3, i decided whether to replace it with this bad boy or the One X coz even if the GS3 has the most powerful software underneath it, it has the most terrible look especially the white unit that i got! if you place the phone on top of a table and have the back of the phone face you, it looks like a big bar of soap! haha! after a few days after i sold my S3, i decided to get the One X in black color coz it looks better than the O4XHD and i think HTC was better in updating the OS of their devices but i heard from a friend who owns an L7 that she already got an update for her OS so i bet the Optimus G will be a good choice if LG already changed their habit of ignoring their customers in software updates. LG, please do not let your customers down by letting them use your devices without any updates. that's where your company fails most of the time but, i must admit that O4XHD is a good device too! bring the Optimus G here in the Philippines and i will surely get it over the Note 2, iPhone 5 and Xperia lineup! though i have to admit Xperia V looks extremely gorgeous! haha! best of luck LG! ^^

curious pal, 07 Sep 2012pino, what is the difference between updating a firmware us... moreits quie simple OTA means your phone downloads the firmware trough android and it updates itself.
manual updating means you download the firmware and load it to your phone trough a data cable and tool on your pc.
the only difference is with OTA you cant decide what it downloads as it just downloads the firmware ment for the region the phone was released to.
say a european release phone will most likely download the europe open firmware.
a UK t-mobile phone will most likely download the UK t-mobile firmware.

with manual updating you can decide what firmware you load into your phone.
so you can download europe open or spanish or brazilian firmware and feed that into your phone.
i cant really tell you what the difference is between those firmwares tho.
most likely small changes due to legal issues in those regions.

like europa has a max x DB sound output so that might be limited in european firmware.
in other countrys other features might not be alowed so they might be disabled there other then that i assume they are al pretty much equal.
youwill have to do a boatload of research on the web to actualy find differences at all if there are any.
