Omar, 22 Aug 2012I bought this phone because i wanted to quad core phone wit... moreto know the difference between quadcore & dual cores ..
You have to install high graphic games in both devices & see the difference in performance..
for smooth browsing even single core is enough..
LG has 4 Cores+1core(for normal activities like browsing etc.,this is done for saving battery power)
google for high graphic games using tegra 4 chipset, download them & see for urself quadcore power & performance..

lg speculator., 21 Aug 2012Thanks a lot Pino, this reply has given me a measure of rel... morenot yet but ive bin reading over a month on all kinds of forums across the web.
im waiting for the price at local sellers to drop as i have bad experience buying stuff on the wen as warranty is a pain and can be expencive to ship the phone off for repairs so i only buy local now.
but seein flash is just supported by all 4.0 phones so far i dont see sa issue in installing it if its not on the phone by default. but even 50 euro tablets have it installed by default so expect it to be there :)

I bought this phone because i wanted to quad core phone with reqular sim slot and its with me now .
Still i didnt find any differernt from lg 4x with my other phone galaxy s2 .. They have same speed in browsing and app downloading ..
Lg 4x is like dual core phone .. I mean where can i find a differents and even s2 camera is more clear than lg 4x ????

Hi guys, how is the battery life on this device? How is it compare to Samsung Galaxy SIII? I'm planning to get this but the only thing that left me worried is with LG's poor software update timeframe.

lg speculator, 20 Aug 2012Pls guys i'm not comfortable with the way u rate this phone... moreflash player will still be availeble from the market there just wont be any new versions released which is just fine for as long as this one works.
if the browser in a fiture version stops supporting it you can always use a 3rd party browser but i doubt that will happen.
there are no heating issues the phone just gets warm when you play games to long as the phones and tablets are made for calling as a first priority the fact that it can play games doesnt make it a gaming device.
with normal use the phone wont get warm at all it only occurs when you play games for quite a while or browse the web for ages but if you do that get a laptop or desktop :)
when quickly looking something up you wont even notice it.
the htc one x has the same 'issue' its just the 40 nm core that gets warmer but its still usable.
if for some reason it still bugs you you can alsoways downclock the cores to 1200 mhz or 1000 mhz and even then the phone will be really fast.
no apps or games need 4 cores now nore will they this year and i doubt they will next year :)
theres nothing to worry about its working as intended if the phone is used as intended (playing a game browse some chat some call/text and use some apps.
for long time gaming or browsing get a pc/laptop :)

LG do make fantastic phones and this is are prime example :) due an upgrade at christmas was thinking gs 3. The problem is rolling out current firmwares :( they run about 2 year behind. Sort that out and they be in the top three.

Pls guys i'm not comfortable with the way u rate this phone.
I don't have any plans to upgrade to jb as it only brings minor improvements. My major concern is on flash player.
In a concise way, can a user pls tell me if this phone streams flash videos right out of the box? This is very important to me, as it has been announced by "adobe" that it'll discontinue it's flash support on mobile devices and google have extensively scraped it off their new chrome browser. Will flashplayer always be available to download frm the markt for guys like us in nigeria? From the gsm arena review it says it has "html, flash."but it's well knwn to everyperson that html does nt support flash contents although it has various means of managing media contents of the web. Again, i implore Someone tell me what's with the heating issues on this phone. I really like this phone. I dnt seem to dance along wit any of the lg's rivals. (Samsung,htc,moto) Lg has captivated me with this device but i still don't want to bemourn the purchase.. Thanks.
