There is a light review on android authority of the optimus 4x, they compare the 4x with the likes of s3 and htc.
Worth to have a look, have some nice pictures.

Ratol, 07 Jun 2012No matter how hard LG tries, Samsung is still the BEST. ... moreIt is the only thing which LG is lagging. I do not need to boot the phone every now and then...so even if S3 boots faster, its not going to help me much.

LG 4x uses the same technology as the one x,
Same processor, same ips screen, but there are just four differences.
                1- Cheaper.
                2- Bigger and better battery.
3- Removable battery. So if you have a spare battery you will end up with about 2140+2140=4280mh battery.
4- micro sdhc 32gb, with possibility to according to lg rumours through app to mocrosdxc 64gb support. So mimimum 48gb, maximum 80gb. Htc 32gb for the tegra one x, or 16gb for the one xl.
Both look good to me, but the battery issues on htc, not removable and lack of expandable memory, makes the choice brainless.

killernix, 10 Jun 2012its already known that krait dual cores are more powerful t... moreYou are right bro.
Found on the one s and the lte model one xl, i particularly agree, but battery and microsd, htc resembles iphones, with the same issues, android should be a more flexible platform, and those two factors are a killer of freedom.
I was tempted because of the krait qualcomm snapdragon, better performance and all coming from the beast qualcomm inhouse, cant say the same for tegra, but still performance on a tegra nvidia is at another level when compared to s2 or note, razr or any like this. Also tegra scores higher in some of the test when compared to the krait.
One xl is a very nice option, just the issue of the battery @1800 non removable, and 16gb onboard, not expandable...
I look hard, but at the moment i cant find a better contender where to spend my 400bucks in phone upgrade from my s2.
                  To make it simple.
                  Huawei ascend quadxl, not available.
Galaxy s3,shame on them, i better keep my s2,rather than getting that ugly potatoe with similar technology than the x4.
Htc one x. Good design as the x4, but battery and memory, the same goes to the one xl, i prefer the latter as has krait qualcomm, but in reviews, the battery last just the same as the one x with the nvidia tegra quadcore, also in video renderind, pinzoom and other related tasks the 4x have, like speed video, and other surprise to come, quadcore tegra has the advantage.
Htc one s, probably d best after the 4x, only issue, memory and battery.

I have visited the page of corning gorilla glass, lg 4x, not htc ones and s3 appears there, they have to include the latest models there.
So htc samsung and lg phones all do gorilla glass in high end models.

So spend 100quid more on a similar phone, with less battery, less resolution screen , far ugly design also a korean phone as lg...

The only good thing i can say about the s3 is that is using cortex a9 @ 32nm. While the lg 4x uses the a9 @ 40nm.
While the 32nm are better than 40nm as they are suppose to be smaller and get less heat which could save bits of battery, the both of them are outdated as the cortex a15 uses 28nm, and is not present on the acclaimed s3, neither in the x4.
S3 doesn't support LTE, is only regional models, as the galaxy s3 for docomo Japan which uses the more efficient s4 qualcomm dual core and has 2gb ram, but lte frequencies vary a lot, so an american model might not work in europe or japan lte. S3 in europe dont have lte.
Pentile display, to me looks the same as the s2, but a bit bigger. Battery rated at 43h, s2 41h. Nearly same as an s2.
Disappointing design, ugly home button, blue looks ugly tasteless and a cheap toy, white is just girly.
All in all is like an old horrible nokia of the 90's.
I wouldn't feel confortable if somebody call me and then i take that potatoe out of my pocket.
Think is not a bad phone, but i was utterly disappointed with the design, pentile, ram, no lte, 16gb and about 599£, For what the wait.lg has nearly  same specs, quadcore a9, on a daily basis wont notice any difference, same 16gb, same ram, better removable sios tech 2140, better flexibility of power management, better screen, micro sdxc card up to 64gb with update firmware, better colour rendition, no physical button (hate the one in the s3), way out better looking, and in europe is available for 100£ cheaper than the potatoe.
Now the choice is yours, i was waiting ages with an s2 to upgrade to ics, so don't expect android upgrades miracles with samsung either.lg has been able to produce a very competitive phone and with a good looking, cant say the same for samsung.
Phone vailable in amazon deutsche, for 505 euros in white, and in preorder black@ 499.
They deliver to whole europe and maybe overseas around d world.
There is a bad review of d phone without even a video footage from a chap from the us i guess, no mention about any facts really but so far is d only one, i guess is done with a non retail definitive mobile. If interested google android police, but i hardly believe many things on the review.
