I'v got this phone for a month. A first days battery drains very fast, half a day. It was android 2.2.2 Then instaled 2.3.4 v20n then routed the phone I installed only 2 apps for optimization nothing else like "battery saver" :
Startup Manager - download full version from 4shared.com
and
AutoKiller Memory Optimizer - download full version from 4shared.com
AutoKiller works like one click kill process and Startupmanager is like "msconfig" in windows disable proceses that you dont need u have a lot if it! The result was awesome 3d 4h and still 10% of battery I have maked a lot of photos HD videos listening music wifi surfing... here is some images how it looks like.

i got this phone last week and really nice phone but battery backup is so bad have to install easy battery sever from market the phone is so nice . display is much better then Samsung s

Select the option of Night Mode. Then it has better brightness to take photo or video

Hi. I have been using this phone from past couple of months and found no problem in it. I have been using different phones like Nokia N900, HTC Wildfire and 2-3 more but I found this phone really good as compared to others. Best part of this phone is its large screen and sleek design. Sound and earphone quality is also good. but the only part in which this phone is average is Indoor Camera and video quality as well as video format. Normally all HD Video records in MP4 format where as in this phone it records in 3GP and its camera and video camera shows a very dull image, that means very low lightening. No doubt its camera works awesome in day time but at low lite it really lacks good quality. I am sure if LG would have been sorted this problem as well. this phone can be on the top list of Android Gadgets. Over all experience is really good.

The phone itself is excelent. Everything works great. No problems so far. But yeah the battery is bit bad but everything else is super. Defenetly I'm suggesting that phone if you're choosing between this and some other phone. Sorry for my bad english :)

hi am from nigeria, i have an lg optimus black p970 that i just bought but i try to upgrade it to gingerbread, but wen i try to do the update it say ur cell phone software is already up to date and it is still running froyo(2.2.2). any body with any experience on how to upgrade or is it that the update has not reached nigeria.

i want to install 32gb card but my friends are telling me that it is not a good idea to install 32gb card in a 32gb supported handset as it may b laggy sometime ....

My p970 is stuck at boot in the LG logo, it occurred after upgrading to 2.3 , Took to service center , they say it is a mother board problem , any body else having this problem? they say i have to wait until the spare come from Korea.. damn
it's soft bricked and reversible, mostly hardbricked phone needs to replace motherboard but in your case you can make it by your self. . try to find usb jig or ODIN
