To the best of my knowledge, the Gingerbread update got released in the following order: Germany, Hong Kong, India, Rest of (West) Europe, .... (donno after that).

noman, 23 Jan 2012howa d battry bakup after d updat ?? ny differens ?The battery usage looks slightly better than in Froyo. The battery management is known to be much better in Gingerbread in any case. Day 4 now - and everything looks grrrrreat guns !

my ob now is 2.3.4 but not much different

its showing only problem with communication between cell phone and PC..and restart mobile remove battery and connect again..i did...but cant update...update can goes only 6%....plz help...

In Serbia we will get update when in Europe get ICS :). Froyo 2.2 also support video call via Skype, it works for me.

Got the update yesterday - folks just go for it ! This makes app faster, and the scrolling and animations are super smooth. I was really p----d at LG for delaying it so much, but thankfully it arrived.
I just hope that LG can now emerge as the best (reason 1 - this is a killer fone), by releasing the ICS update asap. To sum it up - this is the bling for this awesome Optimus Black thing - go get it.

I got update V20B .. everything is improved, wifi connect faster, apps opening faster, BUT still dont have OTA update service in OB in 2.3.4 =(, and scrolling a little choppy and lag in contacts list, music song list and setting list, scroll up and down is little choppy and sluggish, previously with Froyo is very smooth but now not =(

just got V20b android 2.3.4 just stable version, needs more refinement in some era.
now can make video call through skype.
