Just bot this phone (att 980) new on ebay and activated on cricket (now part of att; combined with aio). I checked for updates to kit kat a on the phone and it says there are none available.

Hi, I have updated my LG G Pro E988 to 4.4.2 today. So far, I have discovered two features are gone.
1. In camera, customized menu is gone.
2. Clock in lock screen cannot be changed.

hey when will LG give 4.4.2 update in India. Why lg people are so lazy i think they do not have faith in doing work.
LG lazy people please feel your responsibility towards such an high-ended phone. People who rested faith i you and purchased your products had never dreamt of the fact that you shall forget about giving kitkat update to Optimus G Pro E988. How you can do it like this ? Why people should purchase your products when you can not give it proper support. In future people should stay away from your products. You and your relatives only shall have to purchase products manufactured by you. Still it is late but not never. Wake up from your fast sleep, feel your responsibility and give not only kitkat update but also Lime Pie 5.0 to LG Optimus G Pro E988 which is undoubtedly quite costly handset.

After updating my G pro E988 to kitkat last week, battery of the phone is draining much faster... if I'm checking in settings/battery which apps drained battery, 1 and 2 place are: Cell standby, and Phone idle. On JB wasn't like that, on first place always was screen. I'm using my phone same like before, but for some reason in standby, battery is discharging faster on kitkat, then on JB, and this is very bad... LG,IF YOU ARE READING THIS, PLEASE SEND TO US AN UPDATE TO FIX BATTERY DRAIN ISSUE.

My wife use is using it and it's been about 4 months. The gorilla glass broke when my son drop it in month 2. The LCD it's OK only the gorilla glass is shattered and cracked. Luckily, it use plastic scratch cover so the glass didn't sprayed. It cost almost half the phone price (about $240) to fix it because to change the glass it also have to change the LCD and body. Suffice to say we didn't fix it. But the phone still usable and operate normally.

I have lg g pro f240 s ..after upgrading to kitkat ..i saw lots of improvements but battery not.much batter and i fond volume bug ..when i m in office i kept my lg on silent mood but after reaching home when i hold back to normal mood ringtoon and notification volume remain silent ...sadly this is very bad for me.

E988 in Pakistan is still running on 4.1.2. I request all users, do mention the optimus G PRO number like E988, E985 for F240.
Any one using KITKAT on e988 please provide feedback on performance, battery timing and any other improvements!
