the phone supports video calling and it does a perfect job at that...with 4 g lte and front facing cam of 2 mega pix, the video quality is excellent

DLNA is there though.
And the box will obviously be open, for unlocking purpose.

I know that some people are complaining about the battery life. Here is the trick when you charge your phone it might take 1:30 to charge it from 0 to 100. But that is just not enough even if it says 100% charged keep it plugged in for an hour or two more and then you will see the difference.
I charge my phone overnight and I use it the next morning the whole day browsing wifi/3g texting whatsapp by the end of the night I have no less than 40% left.

Since GX came out... Im quite sure.. Update for G Pro is around corner with jelly bean 4.3 (i assume this january coz LG inform us will bring Knock on features to all optimus device)... Just googling what LG GX offer.. It will be the same what will we get...

But when I had checked repeatedly and thoroughly, I found that the International version E985 has a few more features like FM radio, DLNA and others which the Indian version E988 didn't have and possibly a few other small features maybe missing also. Could you please check and confirm whether the E980 has radio, DLNA, etc? Because last I checked, the E980 didn't have radio. Ans also I wanted to know, if I buy it no ebay, whether I will get a a sealed brand new product or whether it will have been opened previously and then packed? Thanks in advance!

Happy new year 2014. I would... moreThe Indian version of OG pro is the E988, which is same as the international version, except for the internal memory being 16gb.
I am not sure where you can get a E985, but I got a E980 which is the US AT&T version(32Gb). You can get this on ebay India. Few stocks are still left, but you won't get local manufacturer warranty.

why LG is not updating there devices alot of things is missing in optimus g pro which is available in lg g2 this is truely disappointing for enthusiestic users like me...

This phone is a hidden gem in the market. Not many know about it.
For the price, I say it's the best value for money, close to flagship level phone out there now!
One single update(4.4 or at least 4.3) from LG is all is needed, I will be a happy chap for the next 2 years.

Recently found that s4... moreIt may be that the S4 lags a bit, but there are some very basic functionalities missing in G Pro's software bundle (don't know if this is the same with LG products too) which IMHO does not have any excuse...
BTW I am not a sammy fanboy, actually traded my SIII for this phone (I found SIII lagged compared to my HOX+)...
I don't what LG can say, but say - what is the excuse of having no signature option in messaging client, or not option to disable push SMS from your network provider?
Also, another irritation is constant reminder to download apps (from Application Manager), hell I have purchased eSet why should I download Mcafee mobile security????
This is a great device, hardware wise - but unless and until LG pulls up its socks and do something about its software department and make updates as well as these basic fixes regular - they will never be able to compete with Sammy or even HOX+...

I am a rooting fan too ... so can you please confirm a few things for me?
1) Where did you get the instructions to root it from?
2) What all features are missing (if you don't mind) the cool camera, video features?
3) Is the rom stable and how is the battery life after rooting? Is it CM 11 or something?
I will be very thankful if you can answer my questions.
