LG has published a KitKat V20a kernel for P710, so the official KK update is just around the corner, probably a few days away. Just google 'LG global open source P710' and then find the info within the webpage (there's a search field, type P710).
So, the KitKat update for P710 is real.

Great phone, but often it happens when I call somebody they can't hear me - I have to restart my phone... It happens often. Nothing could fix this problem. It's really annoying so if you must make a lot of calls for a living or other reason, don't choose this phone - I have read online other users have this problem too. Also it can be a bit slow sometimes, sometimes overheat, but that's due to amount of apps installed by the user. But for receiving calls, writing sms, photos, games - it's a great phone! I love the function it has with built in 8MP camera - it's voice activated "Cheese shutter". You can put your camera and say cheese, smile, whisky, kimchi or lg and it will release the shutter. I have had some problems having to hold phone with one hand and take photos too, but voice activated shutter is great help :)
