ATTIt will work, but only partly.
AT&T uses 850/1900 bands for its GSM network.
Because this phone works on both 850/1900 bands, you will not have any problem making/receiving calls.
AT&T uses 850/1900 bands also for its 3G network.
Because this phone does not work on 850, its 3G reception to AT&T's network will be somewhat limited to more open spaces.

The phone works PERFECT but ONLY if you root it and make a couple of tweaks.
Tips: root, 1008mhz overclock, v6supercharge, sd card speed tweak.

Phone is fast and responsive - I can play on it GTA Vice City and Tiral Xtreme 3 without any lags. One has to follow some simple rules and do one to two tweaks in order to keep the maximum performance.

The native Google Youtube application works just great. May be you just do not have internet connection, or it is too slow to support playback. Also the MX Player (check GooglePlay) handles MP4 files up to 540p effortlessly.

As already noted - current phones have a different internal flash memory organization rendering app2sd useles. Still there is a woraround using the RemountSD program to COMBINE the internal and external flash memory into one large array. Then there is no need to move any application or data - it natively is installed on the SD card.

Rooting is simple. Same applies for almost all Android phones - just google for " XDA Developers Rooting". The fisrt few pages will ALWAYS lead you to the XDA Developers forum where you can download all files required to root your phone.

You said you have updated to V10i 4.0.3, but have you done a complete system wipe BEFORE and AFTER doing so?!? If not your phone at the moment is a weird mixture of old and new files and libraries and of course you will experience lags, etc. Simply KDZ relash it following the instructions to the letter.

You what?!? You DELETED ALL Google apps? No froze them using Titanium Backup?!? Then I can guess that at the moment your phone simply cannot sync media and you have the process Mediaserver running endlessly and eating up 95% of your CPU power and 30% of battery time. Sorry but some things have to be done with extreme caution, which you did not!

Here are the answers to some of your quiestions:
1) 720p HD video is supported, but depends on the video format. I successfully playback MP4 HD movies. 1080p is lagging too much.
2) Video quality is near perfect for this size and type of screen. Picture is crisp and detailed, colors are vibrant.
3) Gaming level is on par with devices of much higher price. I have no problems playng simple games as Temple Run and Falling Fred, as well as heavyer 3D games like N.O.V.A, Dungeon Hunter, Trial Xtreme 3, GTA: Vice City, etc.
4) Device is "upgradeable" to JellyBean, but the JB for LG L7 is still not ready. At the same time the phone bottloader is locked which prevents users from flashing custom ROMS like CyanoGEN Mod 9, or MUIU. Next scheduled date for upgrades by LG is Feb-12-2013 - so in less than a month we will know for sure if there will be JB for us, or just some V10k update.

This will not play MP4, message onscreen says "unsupported file type" so the spec must be wrong. The YouTube app won't work. I bought this from Argos in UK, with £90 discount. No wonder it is discounted - it doesn't work properly.
