I got my LG Optimus 1 about 45 days back and i have been thoroughly enjoying myself since then. I had a budget of around Rs.10000/- and I considered the following along with the Optimus 1
        1. Samsung Galaxy Fit
        2. HTC Wildfire
I was almost instantly against both of them when I checked them out live because of their low display resolution and colours were not good at all. Whereas the Optimus 1’s resolution really pleased me.
Ill try to take up the points 1 by 1
Build Quality - The Optimus 1 has great build quality, it feels very solid in the hands and u feel good quality plastics used. (as opposed to the Samsung Galaxy phones according to me)

Resolution – It has a wonderful 320x480 resolution with 180 ppi which looks really nice and the the colours produced are wonderful

Camera – The pictures taken from the 3.2MP cam are generally acceptable with decent shooting mode choices with which u can play around. But an LED Flash is missed 

Memory - The internal memory ( 170MB) is low according to me as there are many apps which cannot be transferred to the microSD card and have to be kept in the fone memory.
But 512MB of RAM is great job done by LG

Battery - It has a Big 1500ma battery which easily gives me at least one and a half days of moderate phone use (some internet browsing, some media, texting, calling etc) which is really good

OS - I really like the operating system and this one is even upgradable to 2.3 gingerbread. Most of the application work nicely but the system lags working on some applications probably owing to only 600MHz of processing power (that’s what u get in 10000 bucks)
It has stock android OS with no customizations by LG

Texting – texting is fairly accurate and the LG keyboard is great. I prefer to keep the traditional alphanumeric keyboard in the portrait mode with T9 dictionary on which gives u amazing typing speeds

Hardware Buttons – The Optimus 1 has the uniqueness of having proper hardware buttons at the bottom of the screen rather than the more common soft buttons with heptic feedback. I find it so much better than the soft buttons as there is 0 chance of accidental presses which is a common irritant in the soft buttons case.
Another added advantage of the hardware buttons is that u can press any of them and the unlock screen will come to life which in other cases happens only by pressing the dedicated lock button, I practically found this aspect very useful and convenient.

Touch – Its capacitive touch is not very sensitive but decent. I personally think that is a good thing to avoid accidental presses.

Processor – The lesser processing power frequently leads to a laggard performance but is generally quite unnoticeable and does not bother much

Call experience – The call experience is so far only decent. The microphone seems good but the speaker could have been better as many times the caller’s voice is not crisp and clear so 1 really has to listen carefully(I dunno whether it’s the phone’s prob or the network’s or the other party’s phone’s :P)
I have also experienced some dropped calls and again I don’t know whether to attribute it to the phone or the network. Overall its OK
Competition as of now – now there is the HTC explorer which will be hitting the markets soon and the galaxy Y which is a great return on investment at around Rs.7500/- on flipkart, and these may obstruct Optimus 1’s continued successful march.
The pros definitely do outweigh the cons here. All in all ill say im REALLY HAPPY :D with my phone and truly think I made the WISE decision
If you have 10k bucks in the pocket and looking for a good android, look no more, the LG Optimus has heard you ;)

most of the time the phone lags and also sometimes it just crashes and requires reboot to put things in order..

better get a good music player frm market with built in equalizer, i use player pro comes with a descent 10 band equalizer with good reverb and other surround effects..

AnonD-24289, 14 Oct 2011hey guys, there are some image caches which i have already ... moreI'm afraid to say no solution available. Its how operating system manages your videos thumbnails. If no thumbnails generated you won't be able to recognize videos easily, only video name and video icon will be displayed. Nokia symbian os also uses the same concept. If you delete cached images next time when you restart your Android smartphone cached images will be generated again. Get a picture video hide app from market instead of deleting cached thumbnails.

Its same like upgrading to windows 7 from windows vista. Lol. You will get much smoother performance in gingerbread than froyo. I don't know the exact amount of memory after gingerbread update. But its more than 100mb.;) if you are in need of more memory than sorry. Lol. Try considering moving apps to sd card atleast a class 4 sd card and don't install unnecessary apps.
