Android sucks battery it's true practically there is no way you can save battery in any droid you buy or how big the battery is like 2000mah. however you can improve battery backup by switching off gps, disabling unnecessary program at startup it's the main reason why optimus 1 lags at startup or takes long time to stable just after start up. Switch off bluetooth, shut down unnecessary running services, use 2g instead of 3g, use 3 g to download only, switch off packet data when not in use, avoid running multiple background applications, use static wallpaper instead of live wall paper, change brightness level to 0%, switch off vibration mode, if you are an audiopile use earphones to listen music.if you follow these guidelines I'm sure you will start getting enough power to run long. If not buy a symbian you will get ultimate backup. Regards.

I bought a new LG optimus one few days back, but 'm not able to sync it with my PC using LG PC suite IV.
Pls anyone help me in fixing this!!!!!!!

If sum1 is using 3g then its ok.
But the real test is how it works during poor signal strength particularly in rainy days.
I must say,
eBuddy graspd signal much quickly and did a good job then.
However NIMBUZZ takes a lot of time to get logged in, to sync contact list n blah blah....
Howeves chatting through NIMBUZZ feels gr8 however ;-P

I bought a new optimus one few days back...
but 'm not able sync it with LG PC suite IV; its telling no device found.
So what can I do to fix.

Look, i havent purchasd O1 yet, dats why i feel bad that im unable to answer many confused n helpless people who need certain clarification about cellfones.
But i love to check this daily,
Cuz i love mobiles n as so many guys r always ready for quick assistance, i know i wont face much problm in my next fone....O1.
The next reason why im so regular in dis forum, is perhaps some sort of intimacy we hav developd in a few weeks. N i lov 2 make frnds...

Carphone Warehouse UK no longer sells this phone on their wesite, and LG does not even support this phone, so why bother buying this phone, it's not worth it!
This phone looks good, but has faults: it freezes; loses time; has very little internal memory to store apps;long start-up times; not that practical when using outdoors and in noisy crowds as voice quality is not great; Ringtones sounds nice and loud when in a quiet place, but out in a street/ busy area you can't hear the phone ringing meaning you often miss calls;camera pictures are great, but phone can lose pictures if you quickly switch to another app from the camera; LG PC suit is totally rubbish as the programme can't sync with your phone; you have to wait a while until you can answer a phone call - if you quickly swipe to answer, you may find you phone freezing. And also when finshing a call and try to switch it off, the phone can freeze causing the phone call to still be on and wasting credit - in this case you have to take the battery out as quick as you can and switch the phone back on - this is crap.
The only thing I can say is good is the battery, it lasts longer than other phone. This phone is not good as a work, home or a business phone, it's not that practical in use. It's only good to have this phone as a second or side phone where you don't have to make much calls!

Better than others in this range.... My friends found it better than C7 touch.... You will have no prob. With touch.

Your needs, i suggest NIMBUzz and ebuddy messengers. They both are free and nice all in one chat solution.

I wanted to know if the Optimus one has Capacitive Touch / Resistive Toch screen as the LG website also quotes its in two tounges, at one place they say its capacitive touch where as in the specifications section they mention it as resistive touch.
I have more or less made up mind on buying this phone but just want to confirm on this touch method to make the final decision.

LG optimus1 has 480x320 resolution display which is far better than 320x240 screen of (GALAXY POP or FIT or WILDFIRE etc). browsing internet sucks on a low resolution screen,as you will not be able to read the small text. besides a GOOD display gives a better experience in everything.
I used the above factor in deciding OP1. now its upto you what really matters.
