these roms, made by some developers are very sexy and neat and smooth. but not 100% perfect. they have defects, as ics and jb are not supported officially and as p500 wont have complete requirements to be in such latest roms. GB roms are only trustworthy, like cyanogenmod7 and such "gb" made by the xda devs.

kunle, 27 Nov 2012what does mean to 'root' a phone and how? Rooting the phone annulls your warranty as its a sort of illegal activity,and should be avoided it can also damage your phone permanently.

This phone is a lemon. Has hardly any internal memory and as most apps seem to have the requirement to run on internal memory - there is no point downloading apps. Or sending txt either. I have deleted pretty much all of the apps I downloaded (all 5 of them), I have cleared all the caches, I have deleted most of my stored txt and this lemon still tells me I am low on storage.
I contacted LG Support and he told me to do all of the things I have already done, then said there is not anything else that can be done.
Don't buy this phone.

Install c cleaner from android mkt into your phone.

It always complain of low space storage despite moving all the movable app to my external card. I've to clear data to my most of my important app sometimes. Pls help me on how to go about it

i m using it for more than a year.. still love it...
it is arm11 and of coz armv6... they are some silly names of the qualcomm company...

The CPU in P500 is not an ARM11 (boy do we wish!). It is an ARM6 and performs like one.
Still not a bad little phone for a first time smartphone user. I would still recommend it for someone young, or someone who has never had a smartphone before.
Man are these things durable!

My LG P500 is running on android 2.2.
I tried several times to update to Gingerbread, but, when it goes into emergency mode, pc freezes and I have to press restart button, thus not competing the process.
Any help on this?
