Build for gingerbread source is ready,
Only pending Issues
FM radio
Tethering
Build is from CM7 sources and Mik's modified kernel
Had tweeked most issues.
Process:
1) do a full wipe before install
2)Flash Debug system format first
3)Flash Neogingerbread bulid now
Reboot once done and run initial setup
Select Launcher of choice (had setup for Sony Eric Arc Launcher and He launcher)make your choice and can switch by using Home key
Finally reboot once again for intiallization of all files,Done Gingerbread in you Optimus

Just rooting the phone,doesnt mean yoyu can load recovery,
Once rooted you need to flash recovery from ADB or terminal
i had posted files and process to install recovery earlier,please check out and once recovery done you can access by
Down Vol+Home+Power key for recovery
2) User for stock 2.2.2 ,
Yes you cannot install Gingerbread if updated to 2.2.2 stock firmware,So you need to flash back to 2.2 source,check in Goolge for stock ROM 2.2

i got my phone from lg service they have updated it to 2.2.2 now i want to put gingerbread on it but they say 2.2.2 is unrootable any ideas??

anybody here who could shed an idea,,i cant surf the net thru wifi..if i try to enable data with wifi on..data icon appeArs then off it goes..when i turn off wifi...data icon will appear...and can go to internet but doesnt use the wifi.

Pls check ur data speed..i also faced this prob b4, then i change the data speed to 700kbp then it works...
