need help,
when i am trying to add a number from call logs to existing contact (as alternate no), i have to mannually scroll through entire list, isnt there any option of directly going to an alphabet.

best mobile uptill now in this range... its on ur usage.. how does u use it... the only problem is the dust accumulates inside the screen.. but it can be solved... another thing is that its video playback is very good... divx player is ausm and the applications and games too..... I dont know y are the people telling the cons abt this phone.. it must be because of unauthorised apps or games on ur mobile phone..... I dont care if it is getting gingerbread or not.... really happy wid this phone... 2.2 froyo is just ausm.. The build quality is far more good than the mobile in this tange... About Samsung Ace I can tell u its waste to have that mobile.. dont go on to the looks or the camera it just have 254 mb RAM or a little more than that... u cant do much more tasks on that mobile phone.... But in comparison.... LG is slightly better than ACE... So guys my verdict is

i cant accept calls or reject or end calls by clicking the button on headset, is that normal to all p500 ? all ur headsets do so? or only i m having the problem.

I am getting SD card problem suddenly phone does recog... moreive the same.problem.about sd card...but.after update my software to 10e using lg pc suite...the problem dissapear..
so far,,,for me this phone is superb for range of price....
froyo is good...

I fully agree with you. After using for 2 months and problems like sd card recognition an pathetic lg support .I would recommend people samsung galaxy ace which is much better phone.

If its such a great phone then why is it selling under Rs.10000 at ebay.in. The price of this phone is falling every week and if you start reading the comments here you will realize that new problems are popping up after only 2 months of usage.
Another reason for the price fall is that it will not get the gingerbread upgrade, LG is fooling customers by mentioning that it will be upgraded to gingerbread just continue the sale. Only two major companies in India will be getting the gingerbread upgrade this year 1)HTC and 2)Samsung
When you hold this phone first time, instantly you will realize that you are holding something cheap and inferior quality like Genelia D'Souza in your hand.

The one I downloaded was only a trial for 7 days and it kept on asking me to buy it. I've now deleted it. Yesterday, I sent an email to both, LG CC and Ndrive support and LG reverted back asking me to visit a nearby service center and get the maps loaded and Ndrive has asked me to provide the IMEI # of my device. Lets see how they go about it. I am also facing the same problem many other are, about dust particles entering the screen area and visiting the LG service center seems inevitable.

Overclocking:
You have to 'root' your phone to do that, see rooting guide, but this may fry up the processor be careful.

battery back up very low compared to other 1500 using handsets, memory card get unread at times, need t reput memory card
set at total is not appreciatable except for the android os and the touch response !!!

M using this phone frm last two months....but my phones headphones are suddenly start giving less output....and the battery back up is very poor.....still upgrades r nt realised...why.....???

Hi,
I am getting SD card problem suddenly phone does recognise Sd card. i am on version 10c and using Kingston 16 gb class 4. Tried removing, reinserting card and restaring phone.

hey folks needed to ask a few things
1.. the best and safest procedure to overclock this handset , ( i donno crap about it all , but i am interested in overclocking it ;) )
2.. how to set a downloaded mp3 file stored in sdcard as ringtone
3.. whenever I forward a sms to lultiple usesr it goes like a MMS , i donno why this happens , i have got a free sms card but i am charged for the MMS , cant someone pl temme how can i fix this.
4..how to install swype on it.

AnonD-3247, 08 Mar 2011@ce Hacker, I get it now... initially to begin with, I had ... moreStrange bcoz i too factory reset my phone twice, but i didnt lost the map only user data was lost since map are preloaded and all the data of n- drive reside in the sd it is not erased until you FORMAT the sd yourself..check if you have the ndrive folder in sd complete with folders like voice,alerts etc...
Also try contact lg service centre. Even downloading map from other o1 wont work Bcoz as far as i know all maps are licensed and have to be registered...
