I am using this mobile. Good in features.
User friendly. Touch screen is as good as Apple 3Gs mobile.
Only thin is Antivirus is required as not pre installed.
Must kill the appications to free your ROM / RAM.

But over all very Good set in this Range.

      I'm not able to exit the web browser once opened, If i press the menu button, i get to the menu screen but i'm afraid that it will still be running in the background.

            Whatever, applicaitons are showing whenever opening the task killer, basically those are services, provided by LG which is running back-gound. which needs to run always. Like PC-Sync etc.
            Those are not a problem.
            Go ahead & enjoy the LG OPTIMUS.

                  hey guys the phone is great. The games which requires HIGH END phones are working toooo smoothly, which is very good for me.....since i dont need that "document editor" which is very slow......so iam very much happy ;-). It is very much better than that of Galaxy 3 or HTC (due to its ram & pixels & price also

                      I bought this phone yesterday, then i installed advanced task killer, i opened it killed some open a to kill opened applications, but when i open it again for several minutes, there's always opened applications even though i never use the application. could anyone explain why this happen?

                            Hi guys..
                            Does it need MovetoSD or App to Sd to move apps to sd card? I have a X8 which I don't like the UI and need to do the moving.. I just wanna enjoy the phone usage. I will get this phone if it does install apps to sd instantly.. tq.

                              Finally have got a perfect stable ROM i created.

                              Features:
                              1)Froyo table ROM
                              2)Overclocking Kernel setup(Variable)
                              3)Apps for overclocking included(CPU Boost)
                              4)Removed unwanted APPS
                              5)Added more apps
                              6)Themed with ADW Launcher(recent change log)
                              7)JIT and Hardware acceleration included
                              8)Touch bug fixed and CPU usage optimzed
                              9)Its Fixed to RUN Auto root,Superpermissions
                              10)Explorer is set for New ES Explorer.



                              Theme surprises:
                              Have managed to create a Black Taskbar with black backdrop and custom battery.
                              tried to fix in ROM but tough as PNG size varies.
                              Hence ZIPPED it separately.

                              HOW TO INSTALL.
                              1)Make sure your firware is 10B you have.
                              2)Download Z root from XDA Developers site.
                              3)Install as permanent ROOT (Do not be afraid)
                              Once done reboot and now ZROOT should show UNROOT,its done.
                              4)Download Flash IMAGE and GNMTHUNDER recovery from XDA DEVELOPRS
                              5)Process is in text follow it
                              6)now shutdown yours OS and start recovery.


                              To install custom recovery
                              First install root to phone and terminal emulater or SDK kit for ADB shell
                              Now, once you’re up and running with a rooted phone and installed the Android SDK, you’ll need to download the recovery files. Here are the recovery files
                              Thunderg Recovery
                              flash_image

                              Now to use this Custom Recovery, copy these two files and paste in the root of your SD card
                              Goto termial and type adb shell
                              Type Su to root access
                              Allow permissions for super user
                              1.mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock1 /system
                              2.cat /sdcard/flash_image > /system/bin/flash_image
                              3.chmod 755 /system/bin/flash_image
                              4.mv /system/etc/install-recovery.sh /system/etc/install-recovery.sh.bak (if it gives error message here, simply proceed to the next step)
                              5.mount -o remount,ro -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock1 /system
                              6.flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery-RA-GNM-thunderg-1.1.0.img
                              7.reboot recovery
                              8.The phone will reboot now.
                              9.To access the Custom Recovery, turn off the phone and then press Home+Vol Down+Power button to boot into the Custom Recovery


                              •Make backup of sd-card
                              •boot into recovery (HOME+VolumeDown+Power)
                              •select "Partition sdcard"
                              •select "Partition SD" and confirm with menu
                              •set swapsize to 0 with volume-down (no Swap-Partition) confirm with menu
                              •create EXT-Partition with 512MB (confirm with menu)
                              •after partitioning select "SD:ext2 to ext3" and convert ext2 to ext3
                              •restore backup of your sd-card
                              4. Wipe

                              For first installation of this ROM you should do a full wipe:

                              •boot into recovery (HOME+VolumeDown+Power)
                              •select "Wipe"
                              •select"Wipe data/factory reset"
                              •select "Wipe cache"
                              •select "Wipe Dalvik-cache"
                              •select "Wipe SD:ext partition"

                              Now choose others.
                              Sign with signature verfied and now Flash Neooptimus1.2s from Flash from ZIP option.
                              Reboot system and start.
                              agin once done ,shutdown and Now from recovery Sign again and now install black Theme from Flash from ZIP option.
                              Hurrah your done.

                                  has the dust under the screen issue been resolved by LG? I have read somewhere that dust issues have been resolved in units manufactured January onwards. Can anyone confirm if this is true? And if it is, how can we check the date of manufacture before getting buying it?
