I've had this phone for 7 months already and I haven't really encountered any software problems from it since I upgraded it to GB, but I'm having problems with my power button. Its starting to wear off on me. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Im planning to get it fixed on an LG service center because its still under warranty, but I'm afraid it might take up a month before it gets returned to me. And I cant go out a day without a phone, I use it almost every minute of the day by making calls, email, texting and music. Now I'm using the search button to wake my phone and I downloaded an app to turn off the screen. I'm afraid that one day my phone would run out of juice and I wont be able to turn it on because the power button wont be working anymore. right now I'm already planning to buy an Optimus Black. I'm hoping I wont encounter the same problems with the OB. But I'm still waiting for my Optimus One to reach the most a year old before I buy a new phone. :)

I have been using this phone over 2 year now and its still as good a new phone. it never gave me any problem. it accidentally fell from my hands many time and still in good condition and continued functioning normally.i am happy with it. thanks for making this excellent phone LG :-)

i have LG500 and kinda disappointed.It restart by itself alot and so much lagging and freezing since i expand the memory to 32GB. who wanna buy my LG500??

I hate it sorry I know hate is a strong word but I really dislike it my parents have iPhone 4's and I bet they couldn't handle the phone for a week! I REALLY DONT RECOMMEND THIS PHONE!! This is the wrong path to go for a phone I recommend the LG Optimus Black

Comparison btw EXPLORER & OPTIMUS P500:-
-- The most significant factor here is the intrnal memory... 90mb memory for a droid is too insufficient... [If u r plannin to root the phone, then there is no problem.. go for the Xplorer]
In P500 after updation, the intrnl memory shooted up to 200mb...
--Usage of internet on android smartfones is a very importan factor... Both LG & HTC provides a great xperienc... loadin of pages and general surfing r equally fast.. But still Optimus provides a relatively lag free perfomance...
Having a smartfon which is very sophisticatd nd capable its ablsolutely cruel wen ur web browser doesnt support Adobe Flash... And here HTC manages to read flash content which is a great advantags...[if u r a normal browser or downloader then the optimus wont let u down!, but if u watch videos online othr thn youtube, optimus cant help u...htc does it... but some lagg... stil it does the job somewhat neatly]
--Bigger screen of the Optimus is an advantage for those who watch videos,movies.... Also it provide a slightly biggr keypad thts more easy fr txtn... htc's keypad is not crampd though, u wil defntly get used to itt...
Then talkin abt the interface, LG provids a very simple and ordinary interfac wheras HTC sense is bettr equipd and Xplorer has its latest version n thus has more options...
The physical quality is beter in HTC sinc its got a hard plastic coating whereas the optimus uses cheaper plastic...
xplorer fits the pocket easily due to its smal size, but that reduces its display size....
BUT,
Optimus is much less expensive.... The costly Xplorer does NOT provid a headset with the pack... no even the basic ones are provided... So u need to invest other than the mobie's high price... Whereas LG provides a good quality in-ear budded earphones free of cost with the pack!!
Thus summing up....
Both phones hav upps and downs...
An internet wizard should either go for htc... or a higher end mobile becaus Xplorer is not a great intrnet performer due its lower processor....
Also the optimus is a better value for money mobile.. For the comparitivl low price u pay, it gives u evryrhin...
For girls especialy a smaler fon such as xplorer wil b convinent nd the low internal memory wont b a great issue as they dont use a hel lott of apps.
However in India HTC has only fewer service centre whereas LG has better service network...
NOW, THE CHOIC IS URS!!!!!

lg p500 is moderately good interms of price and performance.
