u need to download divx plus new version with vod..then register ur vod no then will transfer ur registering vod no to ur fone ..this can be take patience to do it ..once you install the vod to ur phone ..then go to divx converter ucan convert the other formats to divx then u can drag it to ur fone done..just be patient.goodluck

maybe you dont know it ..just be patient..my its very usable and easy ..just put first the town then street then no..now u can used it properly..just go to navigate if u want to go ur place to another..and go to find if u want only to look for the places its easy just be patient..u will get it slowly ..goodluck neo ..this phone is worth it for the price compare to other phones this is the best phone for now.THANKS LG

You are right about nfs shift, i've downloaded the game and it occupied around 39mb of my ´”precious” phone memory, but other games just intall 2 or 3 mb in phone and the rest is downloaded in sd card. That's not ideal, but it's better than lose with just one game almost 40 mb in phone memory space... Let's hope the upgraded versions don't take too long...

One more thing-many games in the market are SD card supported such as pocket legends,angry birds,abduction etc. So you needn't worry about the game size.

The average game size varies. Nfs shift uses 39.09MB,fifa 10 uses 5.59MB,robo defense uses 2.13MB etc. From what i have experienced, i can say that most of the games available in the market use space from 1MB to 8MB

I know everyone's crazy about 'Asphalt' but i haven't tried it on my phone. As far as my knowledge goes, Asphalt requires storage on the phone memory(which on the optimus one is only 170MB out of which only around 115MB is available to us) and requires storage space of around 70-80 MB. Added to that is the fact that most of the gameloft high definition games don't run properly on the optimus one.

It doesn't make a difference whether you download the apps directly from the phone browser or transfer to the phone from the PC. Some apps lack the capability to be able to be run from the sd card. Actually the applications were supposed to be updated and become 'froyo' oriented i.e. be able to be stored on the SD card. But since the updates haven't arrived and the optimus one internal memory was designed taking into consideration the following updates, everyone is facing the memory shortage problem. But the updates are surely destined to come and as more and more phones start running the android 2.2, the apps will eventually be able to be stored to the sd card. You can do 2 things:
1)Take the backups of the apps which use the phone memory using some app like the 'astro file manager'. After taking the backups, you can delete the apps not imminently required and restore them using 'astro' when required.
2)(easier one!)Download those apps which can be stored to the sd card. Almost every app which gets stored on the phone memory has its alternative which can be stored on the sd card. You can visit the site 'appbrain' and can easily find the apps which are sd supported.

I would firstly like to tell you that the music player in the optimus one is very basic. But there are still 2 ways to create a playlist through this player.
1)Go to the 'music' application->select the 'songs' tab->long press on any song->add to playlist.
2)Open the OI file manager->open the folder where your songs are located->open any song. While the song is playing, press the menu button->add to playlist.
If you are not satisfied with this application, you can download alternative music player applications such as 'poweramp','mixzing','doubletwist','mortplayer','cubed' etc. I use 'poweramp'. It's main feature which makes it superior is its ability to play songs from folders directly as well as from playlists. Plenty of other customizations are also available. You can try the 'trial' version first.

excellent phone actually i decided to buy samsung galaxy s but bcoz of its too much cost i didnt ,i tried lg optimus p500 wow super i think u can forget galaxy s after using this

Wi-fi settings: Go to settings->wireless & networks->check the Wi-Fi option,then goto Wi-Fi settings. The available wi-fi networks will be displayed there. Select the network you want to connect to. Make sure that the 'wi-fi' and 'network notification' box are always checked so that you will immediately be made aware of any available wi-fi network in the notification bar. The notification bar also has a wi-fi toggle button which is the first button from left.
GPRS settings:settings->wireless & networks->mobile networks->check the 'data enabled' box->access point names->select the gprs network (for example mobile office in airtel. Make sure that gprs settings are active on your phone. Confirm this from the service provider)Gprs toggle button is the 4th from left in the notification bar.
Note:If you are connected to a wi-fi network and accidently switch on the gprs(data enable),wi-fi will be preferred.Check the gprs or data enable mode only when you cannot connect to a wi-fi network(i.e. it is locked or out of coverage area)

Hi,
I bought P500 yesterday only. I just want to know..how to create new playlist.by selecting certain songs..I have moved all my songs from my old mobile to this. In that i had created folder for each criteria of song..but in Optimus it merged together..I want to create a playlist by multiselecting the songs...

hi got this phone three weeks ago..its definitely great..everything is in here..but got some problem when connecting via wify, i forgot on how to connect.i think my way of connecting is wrong..i always see popup message saying that the server has a prob..may someone help on this one..
this is my way of using the wify
i go directly to wireless & network, then turn on wify, then wify setting, then mobile network, then data enable..
i think i need to log in first to GMAIL?? please help on how to connect to the internet using wify..because every time i go to wify zone places, its a bit depressing and i feel irritated because i cant connect via android. thanks

Thanks again Prateek for your help. I´m taking the afternoon to download some games and apps, but my phone's memory is becoming full, because i can't put them on sd, even with app2sd. Is it because i am using the phone browser directly? Is it best to download to pc and then install in phone sd? And how? Thanks a lot for answers...

And the browser settings have an option called 'auto-fit pages' which fits web pages to the screen.
