GUYS i discovered something regarding about the "unresponsiveness" of the screen when pressing an application in the main menu.
The reason behind this is not within the screen of O1 (mind you, the responsiveness is GREAT whenever I'm using the phone)
The problem is the default application launcher by LG itself, what you just need to do is to download an alternate app launcher in the market (such as ADW or launcher pro). After that, viola! the main menu is responsive as what O1 really supposed to be. :)

bought the phone for my son. I am getting jeaulous. beats my iphone 2G by miles, only the touch experience is s bit less responsive. Anyway, super screen, super built quality, great android 2.2. can be adapted without end. Super speaker. Skype runs for ages over wifi, super wifi range. multitouch works. In that class it beats Htc wildfire and xperia x10 mini. for something substantially better one has to pay double, e.g samsung galaxy S or HTC desire. simply a fantastic phone IMO

Definitely better than Wildfire, Galaxy 3, Motorola xt3, Sony Ericsson x8 in terms of features, Design, Looks, Performance & Price.
I love this phone.

Anyway do gift yourself with a smartphone this season.Optimus 1 is an excellent choice n it trumps wildfire in many ways.*better HVGA res vs wildfire's QVGA*600mhz vs 528mhz*upgradable to 2.3 gingerbread*DivX N Xvid video support*Almost stock android .What more do u expect from a 13k phone.by better hardware standards u mean better build quality,right.wildfire does hav an edge in terms of build quality n camera but that's it.in overall usability terms o1 snatches the crown from wildfire.if u have some extra cash to shell out C6-01(17000 approx.) is the midrange beast.

taksh, 25 Dec 2010is htc actually launched in india. or its just a rumour. if... moreyes htc is a mobile co. like lg,nokia etc and yes htc phones are available in retail outlets......a few htc phones like nexus one though are not launched in india so they wont be easily available....

pros
fast speed rendering..
very nice display...
amazing speakers........
no accidental touchees what so ever....
nice cam for 3.15mmp...just use it in light

I'm Using the upgrade tweak for 3+ days and i do not see nay changes on UI interface,so its probably only for ANDROID,I also noticed my memory free's up more upto 300+~mb after installing many apps.Need to notice more changes ,what are done more

Hello, just bought mine and is very happy with it, considering i bought this to replace my iphone 3gs. pretty much a downgrade, but a new ground nonetheless since its my 1st android phone.
now, people having problems syncing, ive been trying to figure this out since yesterday. heres what u need to make sure to sync contacts/mail/calendar:
-make sure u have 3g/H signal on top of your notifications.its network dependent, u might have to adjust it on settings, network, mobile network, access point names. choose one that gives u 3g signal
-make sure 2g only signal option is unchecked
-make sure your phone is visually on. adjust your screen timeout on settings, display, timeout setting and put it on 30 mins so your phone doesnt sleep.
try syncing it again.

1)bsnl Sim issues->NOrmally all sim's of any provider will loose it pin contacts,when frequently changed and if OLD,Tried to get new SIM as replace from BSNL provider for your Number,PHONE has nothing to do with SIM corrupt.
2)SKYPE:i have to verify for confirm that skype works on 2.5G,will try out my self sometime and sure will post with updates
3)LG OPTIMUS SCREEN-> Yes guys, the resolution and clarity of image displayed in this androis is 60 times better than any mobile in price range,reproduces crisp IMAGES,Need not worry about display

Unlike most capacitive touchscreens, this one is tuned NOT to register extremely light presses. We actually prefer this to screens, which will detect as much as a finger hovering, resulting in one too many accidental presses.
i had this phone a week ago. i am suppose to buy HTC wildfire but i was disappointed when i saw its screen... LG's screen is bright and images are sharp unlike wildfire. Sometimes i experience what you have seen but i guess im pressing it lightly. as the review said light presses wont register...well im my opinion with its price and features is truly an good andriod phone..

HI Gerrio, i am very much impressed with the samsung's AMOLED screen. It is gr8 to hear from u that O1 screen looks like that. How is the battery backup. I have seen the demo in one of the mobile store. I found that some times the tapping on the icons is not responsive. Is this lagging in this phone. How is your experience. Please share experience
