I cant set gprs in my reliance smart connection(kolkata).I reqsted for the gprs setting to the cstmr care bt they dnt provided yet.wat wl i do?does anybody know wat wl b the gprs settings of smart in this ph?plz help....
and does anybody know how wl i set a full size pic as wallpaper without croping it??

Purchased it yesterday for 12500/-(including taxes), in exchange of my old sony w700i which cost me 10,700/-
Great phone for a low budget android with some minor issues
cons:
-auto rotate screen is a little bit unresponsive.
-PC suite is buggy(lacking features) and not much
support from lg website about the phone.
-lg graphic designers must be sacked.
-audio player is very basic.
-screen is a smudge magnet.
-preloaded applications does not contain games.
-no video calling and no flash for cam.
-inbuilt storage memory is too low(just 170 MB).
-pouch provided by lg is not good.
pros:
-speed is excellent(600Mhz,512MB ram) and plays
most of the games.
-touch is highly responsive except at the edges
sometimes.
-cam clarity,video playback and sound is great.
-battery lifetime is impressive and mob does not
get heated easily like others.
-build quality is great and looks solid in hand.
In short its a great phone compared to other droids in the same price segment. Still reviewing some other features and i will get back about the phone soon.

Tomo i m goin to buy ...
Because of it's nice userinterface and quality phone...
It's better than galaxy3 and n8
Ill tel u oly one thing just go and buy it......:)

d only thing tat bothers me p500 doesnt hav secondary cam. Better 800mhz processor. N if it had multi-touch. I check lg website its only capacitive touch tey dnt mention if it hav multi-touch. Im planning to buy lg p500 soon.

Weah, 12 Dec 2010hi, how much does this mobile cost on Dollars or Euros ?This phone can cost from 299 USD upwards, don't pay anymore than 349 USD for this model as it is not worth the price hike. Still a damn fine unit to own.
If you DO get this phone, buy it SIM FREE without network operator logos and locks, you can use it with the network operator of YOUR choice then, hope this helps!

Charging time is longer than i would prefer, but with the standby being upwards of 48 hours i think thats a small price to pay, i charge via USB so its easier on power, i paid 350 bucks (sim free) and even taking into account the charging time which can be 2-3 hours, its still a hell of a reliable phone, but lets face it, anything is better than the trendy garbage IPHONE!

But when I seen LG P500 it was very compatativaly better than galaxy in all the thing and function.
So I buy the LG P500.
I am very happy with this phone and my friends also like this phone LG P500.

I am a gadget fan and used to read so many Mobile Phone Reviews. For the last six months I was looking for a phone and I was very lucky not to buy.
Nokia N8 and other Android phone. Last week I bought LG Optimus One P500.
It's a TREASURE!!!
Runs the latest Android 2.2 Froyo!!!
Excellent Build Quality.
Excellent Screen Clarity for both Photos and Videos.
The blend of Clear Screen and Android OS with
attractive fonts, makes this a modern phone.
It gives you Rs.35000 phone experience in just Rs.13000/-. It seems its getting sold out very
fast.
The phone looks good with a steel frame around
its sides.
When I opened Yahoo Mail!, I felt like James Bond.
Really modern interface, clean listing of mails
by Yahoo.
Audio is decent compared to some Windows
and other OS based phones. Interestingly we
will get good audio by directly connecting to the
speaker without using any converter.
FM Radio is also good. You need to connect
to microphone cord to enjoy FM.
The earphone is bud form, so it fits firmly
esp when you are travelling. But be careful,
when you walk and drive, as you may not
hear low noise.
The only thing I am not satisfied are:
1. Google Map is very very slow, almost unusable.
Interestingly my previous Asus Windows phone,it
rendered just like a computer and I saw buildings
clearly.
Is there any one who can comment on this?
2. If you use lots of internet, then the battery
drains out fast. Say after 8 hours, better need
to recharge.

Native Browser do not support Flash. But its not
a problem. You can install Sky Fire!!! It supports
Flash.
Plenty of Android Apps!!!
Google Search by Voice Recognition.
The camera is amazing. I liked the zoom feature
of the camera and video.
THIS IS A GADGET AND A VALUE PHONE. 200% WORTH
THE MONEY.

Sd card with specfuc class is not true. guys. i had the problem with my sandisk 8gb mem and its a class 6. It kept restarting and rebooting. now im using a 4gb mem card that is class 2. It stopped rebooting ang vwry stable now. it lies on the 8gb card. just dont use an 8gb card. nothing else. i hope they fix it at the 2.3 update
