Im in Ontario and a friend gave this phone to me, it was awesome!! but when i tried to buy a sim card like FIDO, i cannot use it, there is no network connection. cant even list all the available networks in my area.. anyone knows why and how can i make it work?

i have just bought a lg u8330 and i have a t-mobile simcard but t-mobile have told me that they dont have the settings for picture messages and stuff...does anyone here know of any? if so i would appreciate the feed back...ty :-)

this phone is nice but i dont know why it is only dual band phone but it indicates 3G i dont know if it is work properly here in the philippines whats the differrence between dual and triband phone in a 3G network its nice even the memory is small but its ok i have fun using this phone!!!!

so this is the deal , LG you get what you paid for , the fact it doesn't have blue tooth is because the next model up has it , Infra Red works , if you have windows XP SP2 you need to install the software first , then plug in the phone , ever prompt you get next click "continue anyway" , once done , restart the pc , when it's on , plug in the phone or turn on InfraRed and open phone manager , click on connect and that's it , you can record a voice and use it as a ringtone easy , from profiles in settings , edit the one you need , go to voice recordings and scrole around till you get to it ,
regarding the camera , well it's nothing fancy , you can change the lighting effect and that can make a difference in clarity , i found it to be good enough for quick shots and movies , nothing great , then again it's a phone , want a good camera go buy one .
conecting to other phones is not something easy on this phone as Infrared is limited i belive "maybe a security thing" , what was a let down for me is the lack of speaker phone use while on calls , it's there "the speakerphone" but can't use it while on a call , only when you do video calls ,
i did a few video calls and they are totaly great , downloading news and live broadcast is great , i've been watching Rage music tv "Australia" for a while now , i leave it on at work and it's great , Frame rate isn't that crach hot , but it's not bad at all , the 3 network here is pretty cool , all the bugs have been worked out and taken out , it's straight forward , the extra light is great while recording or taking a photo , it's a good size phone "i hate really small phones" the MP3/MP4 conversion is easy , memeory is small , but it's a phone not an MP3 player , the playback is great , has stereo and mono playback , the thing i hate about it is that the screen becomes a little dimmer while playing back video , and that can't be changed , something to do with saving battery power , and that lasts pretty long on stand by .... the manual is prety full on and easy to follow through , i got mine recently and has the right software , took a few days to get used to it , but it's pretty cool , i edit some sounds on the pc and then convert them to mp4/mp3 and use them as ring tones , you need to be on a 3g network of some sort to download games "you have to pay for" , but the download is really really fast , it's broadband for mobile phone , i guess it's a few things to must have , well the manual for starter , then a good 3G service provider , i work for a pretty big "crappy" mobile network here , but on my phone i use 3 network and they are great , the content of thier 3G website is unreal , don't fuss allot , just make sure you are in the range of 3G cover in your area and you will be fine , the phone is easy to use , just play around with it...

i think that this is the phone to buy. its got all the great features. plus u r on automatic planet 3. and you get great deals with 3. i seriously wanna buy this phone. its worth the money. its so good.

I can can honestly say that this would have to be the worst phone i have ever had. I've had it replaced 3 times!! It has uber lag, it freezes and refuses to turn off - i have to pull the battery out to turn it off!! It places all of my inbox messages into my outbox so i can't tell when i've received a message. When i phone people i can't hear anything, i dont even hear the initial ringing before they pick up their phone. This phone is terrible. I would never recommend it to anyone. Do yourself a favour..do not buy this phone, you will regret it!

lg u 8330 is a best phone but ird is desactived and no blouthout, in general is very nice and easy to use it.

Irda works only if u whant to connect the phone to a laptop or pc . Is not working for data transfer between 2 phones . In rest is a good phone for me the menu is perfect. LG have made a good work with this phones._X_

hy, i have this phone for only 2 days but i bought it used. Everithing was ok with it but now the CAMERA does not work. :( :( :( when i go to the video recording and i try to make a video it says that There is no memory available, and if i go to the camera and i try to make a photo... when it's done i dont see the result and it doesent respont to anytheng. :( PLS HELP ME if you can!!! my e-mail is berty4all@yahoo.com or berty4all@hotmail.com

I have a LG U8330.The problem is that if i charge the phone when its on,it contineus non stop for as long as its is connected.What could be the problem.

i had this mobile for a while and it s very good. camera s good, mp3 s , games everything so ignore all the bad comments. anyway if you need some info or help on games and stuff email me on robert_bonsfield@hotmail.com
