good phone but I cant up load photos to pc via usb what other is there other software and if so where can I get ???? cheers

This phone is the greatest ever! I got the Java apps installed successfully....why pay $9 for a game from 3 when you can pay nothing???
USB works, camera works alright for me, video is cool, easy to use, great call quality and features like SMS and MMS rock! Memory is decent enough for games, messages, music, videos etc.
My rating: 10/10 straight out. Now I want Half-Life 2 for it and Doom3 LOL! Thanks to the dude who helped with the games in the forum as well.

Hi, it is a good phone. But, it has a problem when being in an area with different 3G networks. in some area in my country, there are 4 UMTS networks, my phone can't make or receive calls and the battery becomes hot and power decrease fastly. However, I configure it to connect to 2G network but 3G logo appears in the monitor and the phone become disconnected from usual 2G network !
please i need help for this problem.

This is how u install games without G-thing. Its kinda complicated, G-thing is WAY easier.
________________________ ::::
1.) take your mobile and go to games settings (menu-->5-->3-->and quickly digit 3698#*# )
2.) now is opening the SECRET SUB menu "Settings Java hidden menu"
like there:
1.Toggle(Cur: Disabled)
2.Make another folder
3.Delete all
3.)Now push "toggle..) and its now is Toggle(Cur:Enabled)
Don't touch the 3th menu because u delete all games in your mobile
and 4 the moment don't touch the 2nd menu
4.) now u have to download the programme whose u make the .JAD files like "JADMaker"
5.)If u haven't any game on your PC go to http://sevenwap.altervista.org/
and download the games compatible with your mobile, for go there from PC download for free opera browser http://opera.com
6.)now its important, for example we have in ours mobiles 10 games. Ok, now take one game for example: 1941 Frozen Front.jar and rename this file to 11.jar and make the JAD file with "JADMaker"
7.)now we have 2 files: 11.jar and 11.jad. Now connect your LG to your PC aand open with the PHONE MANAGER (original software from LG)
8.)open menu JAVA and paste there the 2 files 11.jar and 11.jad
9.)disconect the LG from PC and go to mobile settings (see the point 1 (menu-->5-->3-->3698#*#)
10.)push the 2nd string "Make another folder"
11.)now exit from all, and go to "my application" and play!
IT'S ALL!!! i have tried this method with LG U8120, 8330, 8380

I've gotten used to this phone... and I think its quite good now. For a VGA cam, its quality is great, esp. with the night mode.
I've managed to install JAVA games and apps, using G-thing, but you can do it normally as well, i'll post how later. Now my java apps CAN'T access the net, (i have gprs, but no 3g). Plus they dont save. Meaning that I'll have to reconfigure game settings, and even start from the first level OVER and OVER again.... annoying. Any1 know how to solve this?

This phone is HUGE!! I mean HUUUUGEEE! but the screen is real nice and big, sound is good too. I hate the keys too, can't wirte fast sms's and the Irda dusnt work either (tried with a SE K750i). Softwares a bit clumsy ... actually quite a lot.. But the worst part is that its UGLY. VERY UGLY.... so big, its hard to carry around, even embarassing (!)...

Found 2 rather useful programs to use with the LG U8330 the first one is GThing it can be used to upload java games, apps, music and video to the phone, I got a copy off emule, you can get games and apps here -

The second program I found is called ImTOO 3GP Video Converter it makes video files the LG U8330 can use. Get it here -

Still no luck with .MP4 video files.

Needs more memory 27MB is not much.
Camera is up to 640x480 which is ok.
Video is 176x144 at 14.68fps, not so great.
Plays .MP3 and .MP4 audio.
Video files can be uploaded to the phone in either the .3GP or .MP4 format but this doesn't mean that they'll play.
The book says that it plays MPEG-4 video.
Has anyone succeeded in uploading a video to the phone and got it to play? if yes, what format/software did you use?

MMS:1.0
S/W:U8130_V101_1022 so can you help me to find the real version for my phone.
