Being using it now for 4 yrs( since July 2017) , changed battery only once .best phone I have ever used. Till date screen is still intact despite several drops , although I use a bookcase type cover. I can count how many times it has frozen in 4 yrs. But I guess all good things must come to an end with time. Replaced charging port late last year. Since then started having issues with charging it. Finally it can’t quick charge again and the radio service has died. It keeps saying it is in airplane mode even when it is not. As such I can’t make calls , but WiFi, bluetooth , nfc still works. I am definitely gonna miss it.

The HUAWEI 'Mate 20X' would be a suitable candidate to replace, if necessary, my V20, in terms of audio quality, my first priority.
Unfortunately doesn't run with Google.

And priced even decently.
The great mistake should be punished, because its commercial policy goes against the mobile phone manufacturers 'statu quo' and their profits.
Perhaps the chaotic LG updating service before die their mobile division was related to this.

If I Ever get a new phone, Removable battery is a MUST. Followed by headphone jack, IR blaster, Expandable memory, everything that I've been used to all this time. Just purchased a Perfine 10500 mAh extended battery for $25 on eBay for my other V20. If you don't mind the bulk, it's the only way to go. Still fits in a "puregear" holster too. Also, I run this V20 in 3G mode. It's still pretty fast, fast enough for me and power usage is reduced. This will stay at 100% for over 4 hours in use. (Music, text, email). When other people are looking for a charger, I'm still at 80% looking for the next song, video, bill to pay, or whatever. I think that We can continue talk about this for phone for years to come. Everyone else??.. Well they can follow the gimmicks and status quo of course..

Thinking of the future necessity of phone change and being realistic about this possibility, I was reading comments on the ASUS 'Zenfone 8'. Well, theorycally can be a bit advanced option to the V20, but the absence of the SD memory card and the IR, they threw me back, despite the fact that seems is a phone fitted with a top class audio capability and of course with 3.5 jack, being both characteristics very important to me.

I have used the LG V20 as my primary cell for over 4 yrs. I just bought two in Open box from ebay since they won't be making them anymore and this is the very best phone for my needs.
The audio for music and calls is superb. The removeable battery is a major plus also. The only issue is that it only accepts some batteries and won't use some that look like the original.
Wish I could find some new batteries that will not give me an issue.

Thank you, looks like I found my new daily driver.
Not that anything is wrong with my V20,but the lack of security updates is forcing me to find something where I can safely use my banking and other stuff where security might be an issue.
And I'm sorry for acting so arrogant...
