GTab Active 2 is waterproof with removable battery. Guess one less excuse for the sealed crap.

People want thin phones but then purchase a thick ugly case to cover it. Very funny.

      v20 dac is better
      more internal storage
      IR Blaster

G6 wireless charging(not really a deal breaker i mean its jsut to charge the device)
waterproof unless you are aquaman and swim with phones

speed is basically the same as the 821 is just to accomodate power efficiency, trust me i used both these devices and I would never trade my v20 for a G6, mayb for a v30 yes, the v range is more content creators choice, its to create content, G6 is for show, its not utility device, you can do less with a g6 than what you could do witha v20, but the choice is yours.

Ridiculous. Most consumers don't want this, either, and there are such cases with built in batteries for phones with sealed batteries, too.

Stop suggesting all these ridiculous band-aid solutions. Like buying a car that guzzles gas so bad you keep an extra can of gas in the trunk. Can't you at least admit that just maybe if battery life is important then just maybe the v20 isn't the best phone? Can you?

I'd rather have a G6 because even though they have the same screen size the G6 is smaller and the battery life is much better. I'd want the one with wireless charging though as I have no need for a DAC. Also the wide angle camera on the G6 is better.

The v20 doesn't have good battery life and just because you can swap batteries still doesn't make it right. I also want a car that gets good gas mileage so I'm not always having to stop at the gas station.

Anonymous, 16 Oct 2017Your true colors are showing with that pathetic sweeping co... moreIt's hilarious you throw down the G6, a phone which has been more successful than the V20 in LG's eyes. Again, it's about battery life more than anything, something you seem to be avoiding. You think the fact that you can swap batteries is a valid excuse for below average battery life because you can just swap batteries and be back at 100% in less than a minute, but what you don't understand is most consumers don't want to swap batteries, they want something that will get them through the day no problem. The way the manufacturers see it, they think consumers would rather have a phone with a sealed battery that can give 6+ hours of SOT more than a phone with a removable battery that only gives around 4 hours of SOT. I'm in this boat, I want the maximum battery life off a single charge without having to carry around power banks OR extra batteries.

Yes, now you will tell me your V20 easily gets over 4 hours of SOT but what you won't tell me is that you have to turn off bluetooth, wifi, GPS, sync, put the phone in power saving mode, lower the screen brightness to less than 50% and most definitely not use the camera. No thanks.

As for supporting dropping support, I don't support this but you have to do the math and think if I was making a phone and invested millions and millions in R&D under the plan that it was going to sell it for $800 when in fact most sold for around $400, now how would I go about maintaining profitability or loss minimization on this particular project? I would take all but one or two software engineers and get them working on next years phones software and relocate the remaining one or two software engineers to the basement to work on updates for my low-performing phone. It's business, they've already made all these v20's, they can't "unmake" them and get the money back, the only place left to save money or minimize further losses is to not waste more resources on it, and that would be support. Just look at the failed LG G Flex 2 stuck on Marshmallow despite being a 2015 flagship, it's support cycle only lasted about 18 months before LG abandoned it and it was mostly due to the fact they ended up being sold for substantially less than MSRP.
