In a time where the mid rangers are flaunting 4 Gb a premium flagship such as V30 comes out with SD835 with 4 gb RAM? 5MP cam and 3300 batt. . . .Everything else looks downright awesome. . . .but at price not that diff from NOTE 8 am confused. . . .

Is this v series or g series? this is an upgrade for g6 than v20. cos v series had unique feature like dual screen. Now it is gone. Both V and G are same now. Better cancel either of them. Or else differentiate it at least display and camera. Samsung Note and S series also the same story except the new dual camera setup for now. They should cancel the plus version and decrease screen size of S series to 5.2" or 5.5" with single edge screen. Note at 6" or more with dual edge. Innovation has come to an end I guess. Next is Apple's turn. Change the processor next iphone is ready. LoL....

Complete bs. No IR blaster, and a non-removable battery. I've praised LG for years despite being on my 3rd LGG4 due to bootloop. I need an IR blaster. I use it literally every single day to control a multitude of electronics. I also very much prefer a removable battery because then you aren't tethered to an outlet like every other person. Just buy a replacement, go from 0% to 100% power, and charge the backup while you are blissfully not attached to the wall. Too much technology is focused on future crap that isn't incorporated into our daily lives yet. IR blasters, 3.5mm headphone jacks, and removable batteries help bridge the gap between old technology still in use and newer ideas. Needless to say, I'm disappointed...
IR blaster? - Do you live in the 1990s, what do you need a IR blaster for these days. If you have too many components, buy yourself a Universal Remote.

Removable batteries waste space and are unnecessary. Are you going to be carrying another battery with you at all times? It's better to buy a portable battery charger instead.

I did live in the 1990's and Infrared sensors are still in use on most HDTV's sold today. The IR blaster is actually an extension of how I am fairly modern. I turn on the TV, pull up Netflix or whatever on my phone, and cast it to my chromecast all from my phone. Separate remotes for each device is the real outdated solution. Even a universal remote is just one more thing to keep track of. Should I carry the universal remote around my house with me?

In response to your removable battery comment. I do carry around a replacement battery. It has come in handy more times than I can count on trips and busy days. Carrying around some portable charger I still have to draw charge from when I want to be using my phone is not better.

It's easier to make a device conform to an IP6* rating if you don't have extra ways for water/dust to get in

IR blaster has no openings. Is just a infrared led emitter.

My comment was more about the replaceable batteries than the transmitter but if you create an opening in the chassis to allow for a transmitter to broadcast through then technically you have just created an ingress point for fluids.

AnonD-136903, 01 Sep 2017once in a while phones (especially LG) *DO* freeze up, and ... moreYou sure you know how to use a phone?

              Soft reset with hardware keys
A soft reset is a simulated battery removal. This is used to power a device off when the screen is frozen or unresponsive and the device it has an internal battery that cannot be removed. It does not cause loss of personal data on the device.

From any screen, press and hold the Volume down key and Power button at the same time, for up to 45 seconds until the device resets.

Wow, my favourite phone is here and what makes me happy is that almost all the rumours we heard about it are true and even the design is true. Only one thing that wasn't true is the price. They said will be about €700, now we see €900. Well it is in the price category of the Galaxy S8+. Any way this is my phone of the year. I am waiting for Huawei mate 10 which will also be great phone and also Note 8. Now we are living in the era of Phablets.

Actually, with volume up or down (I forget which) on the SIDE, one of them snaps the shutter on the camera, so a high quality selfie will look better on the main camera.
