Based on your answer the technology is just different, but from user perspective it is as good as amoled. However I would like to ask you abut the source of that. The think about controlling each row:
"A PMOLED display uses a simple control scheme in which you control each row (or line) in the display sequentially (one at a time)." comes from here: https://www.oled-info.com/pmoled-vs-amoled-whats-difference
Thanks!

We do want a phone with a screen size between 5 inches and 5.5 inches. Even 5.5 inches screen is accepted. We want to keep this phone in our pocket, not in a bag. LG have some sense. We're the lovers of phones. Don't make us hate your flagship phone.

Richard, 12 Aug 2017What is the real difference p-oled Vs smiled? As far as ... moreP-Oled is polymer oled, instead of glass. The display is layered on plastic polymer, which reduces screen thickness and is lighter. Of course top layer still is in glass, but when you crack your screen (top layer), you can replace just the top touch glass for cheap instead of replacing both, unless they will glue them together as some do. We will see.

As far as ... moreTypos/dictionary corrected:
What is the real difference between p-oled vs amoled screen technology?
As far as I understand Wikipedia it will control each row of pixel, and not each pixel separately, right?
How does it work then?
And is black really black (turned off pixels) or it depends on row (in turned off row it will be truly turned off, in turned on rows it will be "just" covered (as in lcd's)
I am really curious how does it work.

Pricing will be most crucial thing for v30 success. It's late on sd835 bandwagon and stiff competition from Samsung and OnePlus. Also it's disturbing for loyal lg customers that the price go down crazy after sometime in the market. Instead they should launch at lower price and let it be constant for 12 months like what OnePlus does. Start around 500 to 600$ and let it win the race and confidence of loyal customer.

It's great to see a smartphone that is packing NFC, IR blaster, f/1.6 dual 13MP camera with glass lens, P-OLED full-vision display, Refined Quad DAC, 6" display 80%+ screen to body ratio. Its my dream phone!!
But since its said to have IP68 there is less possibility of a removable back. Even then i wish it packs a bigger battery preferably above 3500 mah and Quick charge 4+. And I dont think LG will do away with external storage.
LG is trying hard to push Nougat updates to several of its devices. Even LG G4(2014) recieved Nougat as promised, even though it took a lot longer. Maybe the V30 might just come with Android O 8.0. Waiting desperately for the release on August 31.

Anonymous, 10 Aug 2017That's what I do. But it won't be an option in the future. ... moreIts more like an urban concept phone. They probably imagine most users as super busy city folks who got no time to listen to fm radio. That is most probably the main target market. It is definitely not for all type of people phone.
