The screen is the main component of a phone, you (your eyes) interact with it no matter what you do. The notch is soooo ugly! So, do not hesitate anymore, buy V30!

I’ve upgraded to the iPhone XS Max (sorry just prefer iOS) but I’ll always have a soft spot for this phone. I bought an LG V30+ and it’s screen was great, solid battery life, headphone jack and I must be one of the few that like LG’s UI.

I will always recommend this phone lg v30+.. butter smooth, No notch, good battery, hdr10, nice camera with gcam, I love it.

Word of warning to people considering purchase of LG V30 in November 2019. My LG V30 purchased Jan 2018. SW updated to V30+. Its slowing down since 1 week in-spite of no bloatware, or AV. No widgets, Animations off and HW acceleration on. Released in Sept 2017 and it being 2 years and 2 months, I think the further updates are slowing the phone down (intentional planned obsolescence). Was a good phone, but may not be worth.

Anonymous, 25 Nov 2019I 100000% agree. The v30 has it all. We just need an update... moreI have V30. Regarding its camera, it has a great hardware and LG's camera software is where it is bad. I am using gcam mods and both the front and back cameras perform uncomparably better, both of them make miracles. This is a clear sign for me that the camera hardware is excellent, just the software has to be improved. And keep the mp to be 16, not 12 or 13.

They haven't done as good as anyone else when it comes to updates. Not even in Korea.

More screen (sort of like in competition), better camera, better battery, and up to date hardware and software. But they don't need to change anything. Footprint is perfect, battery is amazing and can only get better. Next gen battery charging and update camera to compete. If I could, just add stereo speakers but that's it really. It has DAC and headphone jack.

For LG, they sell smartphones in their homeland Korea at a very high price. In comparison the price in USA is much lower. It is even lower at the most competitive smartphone market in the world aka India.
To justify the high price in Korea, LG often provides additional features & software updates that are not available to the rest of the world. For example in Korea, LG V20 received Android Pie update and it is very unlikely that the rest of the world to get the same update.
The general trend among smartphone manufacturers is 2 years of android version upgrades and 3 years of security updates. However I will be very surprised and happy if LG rolls out Android 10 for LG V30 on a global scale.

Cannot replace battery. When battery wears out, the phone becomes trash. Also GPS is always on because you cannot take out battery. Removing any phone's battery is the only sure way to turn off GPS when you want privacy.
