I had to much expectations for this phone. I was using an Honor p8 lite which is a very cheap mid range phone and after I got the V30 y felt like the Honor is much better. The Honor will last me 2 days the V30 only 5-7 hours and the major disapointment wad the front facing camera. I can not belive that the Honor has a much better camera than the V30. The main Back camera is better on the V30 but the Front facing camera is just rubish.

does anyone know if this model is hardware v1.1? one of the later manufactured v30+ with less screen problems?
or is it some old v30+ from late 2017/early 2018?

I got my LG V30+ yesterday for 24999 INR. It was the thing version with Android 8.0 I got to admit it's a beautiful phone still in 2019. Photos come out great, the display is great, audio from the single speaker is good, not yet tried the Quad DAC headphone jack. Battery life is great too I would definitely recommend it over midrangers in the similar price segment from Oppo, Vivo, Nokia and other Chinese midrangers.

Hi people,i am owner of LG V30 for couple months. Its awesome phone, but recently on the screen I got two green dots. One is almost invisible, cause its very small. Other is little bit bigger. They are visible only on white background. First I tought that those are dead pixels, but now it seems like tht is something else. I tried all those dead fixer apps but nothing helped. Anyone have any suggestion wht tht couls be? Thanks

The battery has been insane on this thing!! Managed 9 hours SOT before recharging today. LG haven't been able to recapture this with any other device. Maybe the LG V50 with its 4000mah battery

Anonymous, 12 Apr 2019"it's light in the hand but still premium". What do you me... moreIt's a light phone compared to other phones that are the same size. Sometimes lightness is equated to cheaper build quality. But the V30 doesn't feel cheap at all.

Whats the ETA for Android Pie for V30?

I was about to buy either the G7 for 28000 INR (405 USD) or the Galaxy S8 for 30000 INR (434 USD). First I decided to go for the G7 over S8 because of the ultrawide camera and the Quad DAC but the gsmarena review sad the G7 camera was below flagship level and also a review on Anandtech said the G7s camera was a regression from the V30. Also almost all reviews including gsmarena said the V30 had one of the best cameras comparable to the S8.
Let's see how great the phone is. Any idea about Pie update though ?

I bought my LG V30 two weeks ago, H930, brand new, cloud silver, 285.00 GBP. As a bonus I got a pair of B&O ear-buds (nothing was mentioned about them on the e-store).

Screen-wise, yes, when you tilt the phone, the colour changes, from reddish to greenish, maybe to pinkish, right at right angle the screen is completely white, well, it’s better to adjust the white balance first. But the moment you discover this “issue”, you forget about it. I know it exists but I just don’t notice it (opposite to the screen of Xperia XZ1, which screen I hate, hence I hate the phone. My XZ1 is resting on the bottom of one drawer and I don’t intend to use this phone any more).

Otherwise, LG V30 is an exceptionally good phone! Whenever I use it, whenever I hold it in my hand, I cannot find anything that could annoy or irritate me. It is almost perfect!

Sleek, good for one hand operation, fast and responsive, vibrant colours, clear and powerful sound both through the speaker and ear-buds – music and phone calls. Audio recording is amazing! The microphone is obviously very sensitive. The camera and the camera application are very, very good! Usually I install Camera MX application on my phones but LG V30’s own software is much, much better, plus various modes and settings you can find there. I have totally forgotten about Camera MX.

I usually take still shots, but the video camera of LG V30 is so good and full of possibilities, that I started to prefer video recording to still shots.

Excellent battery life, IP68 certified, everything you need, you’ve got it already on board! I forgot – fast battery charging! (I don’t use wireless charging).

I strongly recommend this phone! If you buy it, you will definitely love it, like I do.

You yourself can check the specifications of the 2019 flagships and you’ll find out that a few of them can beat 2017 LG V30, but at what price? And don’t forget about the descent battery life and IP68 and B&O certifications…

It's still my favorite device.

Believe me when I say I found no issues with my V30 display. Maybe I was one of those lucky ones who received a near perfect display. I even rate V30's display far better than my OnePlus 6T's.

If you read my previous posts you will clearly see I had mentioned that I assume the new batches of V30 arriving from Korea may have resolved the display issue. I never said I was certain about this.

My point was to just clarify that LG hasn't been updated their oled display for V30+ this is same as previous batches however they are manufacting in korea right now. The graininess on display is remain too. I just wanted to clarify that's all and given my frank opinion.
